Repairs concrete and macadam sealing. Waters, fertilizes, cultivates, and trims lawns, shrubs, flowers, trees and other plantings. Plants trees, shrubs, and flowers. May perform hand mulching and hand weeding. Responsible for winter maintenance on County-owned properties, including the removal of snow, ice, and other hazards. Operates, maintains, and fixes snow removal and de-icing equipment. Responsible for contacting staff for winter maintenance duties. Coordinates directly with Superintendent, Public Works Director and/or designee. Assists staff with the creation of promotional content and materials to effectively highlight the division's news, information and events to the public. What You Can Expect: Execute Construction General Labor duties Learn our business and grow your career Organize, carry and load heavy (up to 50lbs) job materials. Perform set-up and clean-up tasks on the job site. Dig and back-fill trenches/holes. Make repairs in crawl spaces (confined spaces), basements, and around home foundations. Perform work duties while exposed to the outdoor elements: extreme heat, extreme cold, rainy weather, etc. Valid driver's license - required. As a Foreman, you will supervise, coordinate daily activities, and work along with the construction crews for various fence and structure projects. Your role includes overseeing site operations, enforcing safety and quality standards, and maintaining effective communication with team members and clients. Key Responsibilities: Project Supervision: Oversee fence and structure installations, ensuring projects meet specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Team Management: Lead, train, and mentor installation teams, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving on-site issues. Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections. Materials and Equipment: Manage material and equipment delivery, usage, and maintenance. Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure it meets company and client standards. Address defects or issues promptly. Client Communication: Act as the primary on-site contact for clients, addressing questions, concerns, and feedback professionally. Documentation: Keep accurate records of daily activities, progress, and any incidents. Complete necessary reports and paperwork. Problem Solving: Quickly resolve on-site issues to minimize delays and maintain client satisfaction. Qualifications: Experience: 3-5 years in fence and structure installation, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment for fence and structure installation. Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Certification: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation Physical Exam. Relevant safety and management certifications are a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift heavy materials, and perform manual labor.
