Role Description Bakery Clerks label, stock and merchandise prepared baked goods and bread. This role includes ordering products for optimal sales and minimum shrink and participating in the clean-up, set-up and closing tasks as necessary for the store's upkeep. Required Skills/Abilities: Reworks product displays to assess order quantities and rotates product. Determines merchandising plan, product selection, and order quantities to optimize sales. Labels product with expiration dates according to manufacturer and company guidelines. Determines product quality for mark downs and culling to optimize quality and minimize shrink. Stores and rotates stock. Packages, wraps, weighs, and labels product for sale according to company and regulatory agency guidelines. Follows safety and security procedures. Provides prompt and courteous customer service, including special orders and customer requests.
