FAUCHON Paris company history timeline

1886

In 1886, he bought a small shop across from the church, where he began to specialize in high-quality foods including charcuterie, cheeses, poultry, confectionery, and wines, as well as produce.

Since its creation in 1886 in Paris, FAUCHON has been sharing culinary excellence in the French style and around the world.

1890

1890: The store expanded its selection with a pick of fine wines from the "Les Caves Fauchon" wine cellar.

1895

1895: Fauchon added a new string to its culinary bow with a bakery and pastry counter.

1898

1898: Fauchon opened its first tea room in Paris, called the "Five O'Clock."

1952

In 1952, Auguste Fauchon's heirs sold the most famous grocery shop in France to Joseph Pilosoff, owner of the Poulain chocolate factory.

1972

1972: The store went international with its first outlet in Takashimaya, Tokyo, Japan.

1986

1986: Pierre Hermé started working with the high-end deli, simultaneously building his reputation as the Picasso of pastry.

1996

1996: Ten years later, Christophe Adam, the master of the eclair, joined forces with Fauchon.

1998

Pilosoff will develop the company enormously and it will then be taken over by his granddaughter Martine Prémat until 1998, when she will sell the company to several investors.

2016: Fauchon celebrtes its 130th anniversary.

2018

2018: Fauchon will open its first hotel, with 54 rooms, including 22 suites.

Judge Brian Amero agreed to allow 145,000 absentee ballots from Fulton County to be opened as part of an audit into the 2020 election.
