POSITION PURPOSE
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall leadership, profitability, and operational performance of the Fort Myers, FL location. This includes achieving planned growth, revenue, operating income, customer retention, and safety goals. The GM drives results by implementing company strategies and operating philosophies through effective leadership of the location team, ensuring all operations are delivered in a timely, cost-effective, high-quality, and customer-focused manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Location Performance & Annual Plan
Achieve location financial and operational goals in bookings, revenue, gross profit, expenses, and operating income.
Ensure performance aligns with company objectives while meeting local market demands.
Management & Leadership
Delegate responsibilities clearly through position descriptions, objectives, and procedures.
Ensure subordinates accept accountability and are evaluated consistently.
Conduct performance audits and provide coaching and corrective action as needed.
External / Customer Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and community partners.
Represent the location professionally to maximize profitability and customer delight.
Internal Relations
Collaborate with corporate leadership and other locations to resolve issues, share best practices, and identify growth opportunities.
Training & Development
Motivate, coach, and develop staff at all levels.
Ensure training programs are in place to address skill gaps and prepare new hires for success.
Sales & Market Growth
Partner with the location Director of Sales to meet or exceed annual booking goals.
Support sales campaigns, assist with key accounts, and identify new business opportunities in the location market.
Field Operations & Productivity
Direct operations to provide the right tools, materials, and logistical support to field staff.
Ensure labor costs are controlled through efficient staffing and scheduling.
Promote and enforce safety compliance, conducting regular audits and reinforcing company safety culture.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
Monitor billing, cash flow, collections, and expenses to ensure location profitability.
Approve new accounts within credit policy guidelines.
Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation of contracts, proposals, and agreements.
Systems, Processes, and Programs
Evaluate and update location operating procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement corporate programs and adapt them to location-level needs.
Customer Agreements
Oversee preventive maintenance agreements, ensuring renewals, proper pricing, escalations, and minimal cancellations.
Special Projects
Execute corporate initiatives and location-specific projects as directed by the Executive Vice President.

SUMMARY:

What You Will Do:
• As the Production Manager for our landscape maintenance division, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our field teams, ensuring that all jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Supervise and motivate crews.
• Deliver and maintain exceptional client relationships for a portfolio of commercial landscape customers through service delivery of assigned landscape maintenance services.
• Manage daily operations and schedules for multiple landscape maintenance crews.
• Ensure all maintenance jobs are executed efficiently and meet quality standards.
• Allocate labor, equipment, and materials effectively to optimize resource use.

JOB DUTIES:
GENERAL STATEMENT: This is a professional, supervisory position responsible for overseeing, training, assigning, planning, and analyzing the daily operations of the regulatory unit of a Pest Eradication and Control (PEC) Citrus Health Response Program (CHRP) Field Station for the certification and regulation of all commercial citrus within the State of Florida.
Manages and evaluates the workload within the Regulatory Unit to maintain equity and efficiency. Compiles, reviews, and analyzes all regulatory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations. Ensures that an adequate number of regulatory personnel are available to achieve the required inspection goals and objectives. Compiles and reviews necessary reports on regulatory activities, ensuring punctuality, accuracy, and compliance. Institutes quality controls to verify that inspections are done accurately in accordance with approved policies and procedures. Trains and ensures that all safety regulations and other department procedures are followed. Researches and recommends measures to improve productivity. Analyzes GIS workflows to ensure the accuracy and procedures are adhered to and any issues are communicated to the Field Station Supervisor, Statewide Regulatory Director and/or Bureau Chief.
Monitors work performance of subordinates, including periodic written evaluations and discussions; counseling to develop skills and correct deficiencies; recognizing employee accomplishments; and recommending timely disciplinary actions as needed. Approves timesheets and leave requests. Documents recommendations for special pay increases, reclassifications, and disciplinary actions, when appropriate. Efficiently carries out employee selection actions when vacancies are to be filled. Responsible and accountable for managing budget/dollars/resources (staff, vehicles, computers, cell phones, etc.) of any assigned programs in an efficient and accountable manner. Responsible for ensuring that assigned program areas have operational procedures and processes which result in accountability and compliance with division and department policies and procedures.
Investigates and resolves complaints and problems that arise in assigned area.
