We are looking for a creative and motivated Marketing Intern to assist in managing and growing the social media presence across multiple platforms for our 19 brands. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager to create engaging content, manage calendars, monitor social media trends, and drive audience engagement. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in social media management for a multi-brand organization.
This is a three-month internship for approximately 20 hours a week (Monday through Friday). This position is in-office.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Develop and curate engaging content, including text, images, and video, for social media platforms.
Calendar Development & Management: Develop and manage a comprehensive social media content calendar, aligning posts and campaigns with the company's overall marketing goals and email marketing calendar.
Platform Management: Help manage social media accounts across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, ensuring consistent posting and brand voice.
Audience Engagement: Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, responding promptly and appropriately to audience interactions.
Trend Research: Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and best practices, and bring fresh ideas to the team.
Analytics & Reporting: Assist in tracking and reporting on social media metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improving engagement and reach.
Campaign Support: Work with the marketing team to support executing social media campaigns, contests, and promotions.

VEG's Veterinary Technician/Nursing Student Externship Program gives vet tech/nursing students hands-on experience in emergency medicine while working alongside our credentialed, emergency veterinary technicians. Students will focus on honing their emergency skills including obtaining patient vitals, processing laboratory samples, caring for hospitalized patients, triaging emerging cases, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. If you're as interested in emergency medicine as we are, we'd love to have you!
Notes: Unless you are already employed by us, this is an unpaid externship. Rabies vaccinations are required for all externs (even if you are already employed by us) since you may be handling pets with an unknown rabies vaccination status. This application is always open to collect interest in an externship but your selected hospital may not always be able to accept students.

Our program is dedicated to contributing to your practice-readiness and to help you hit the ground running after graduation.
Our program structure:
Our externships are flexible-they can range from two to eight weeks during the year, according to your college curriculum - but are typically two or three weeks in length. Your schedule will include days, evenings and weekends.
Our externship rotations are designed to allow students, under veterinary supervision, to practice the problem-solving, technical and communication skills that they have acquired during their clinical preparation. Externs are given the opportunity to work alongside our veterinary team and are encouraged to participate in all aspects of patient care. A stipend of $250 per week will be provided.
What you'll be doing:
Externs experience the typical caseload of a small animal practice. Under the supervision of your mentor doctor you will gather histories, perform physical examinations, develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans, scrub in to surgery, assist in the management of medical cases, provide wellness care, develop your client communication skills, polish your technical skills and produce appropriate medical records (SOAPs) within the time limits of daily practice.
Who we're looking for:
Extern students are expected to be enthusiastic and effective participants in our patient care activities, upholding the professional and ethical standards of our practice. Students participating in the externship program are suggested to review the Veterinary Practice Act in regard to the scope of duties that may be performed, and to be familiar with the type and degree of veterinary supervision that is required. These should be followed carefully in order to protect both yourself and our practice.
As a veterinary student extern, we expect you to dress and behave in a professional manner and to meet the expectations that we have of all team members as outlined in our employee handbook.
