Molly McEneny serves as the chief human resources officer (CHRO) for Kelley Drye, a law firm with more than 300 attorneys and offices throughout the United States and Europe. As CHRO, Molly is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the firm’s overall direction. Molly is involved in a variety of areas, ranging from talent development, change management and organizational and performance management; to training and development, compensation and benefit plan design, and succession planning.

In addition to establishing and implementing human resource initiatives that support the firm’s mission, Molly develops HR strategies that parallel the firm’s long- and short-term commercial objectives, serves as a strategic advisor to senior management, working directly with the firm’s executive committee to design human resource, business and succession plans geared toward achieving the future goals of the firm. In addition to these institutional responsibilities, Molly acts as an internal consultant to firm management and individual partners in both human resources and other substantive business areas, providing guidance and mentoring to the next generation of Kelley Drye leaders.

Molly is valued for her particular skill in analyzing and understanding what is often below the surface of an issue, problem, challenge or obstacle. She is skilled in helping to diagnose a situation, understand and relay the options available, make recommendations for action and to implement solutions. She thrives in the area of decision-making and strategy development across every area of the firm. Molly is consistently appreciated for her unwavering commitment to the firm and to the development of its people. Having served the majority of her career at Kelley Drye, Molly knows the firm inside and out and has, for years, been behind the scenes, helping to build the organization into what it is today. Because Kelley Drye is built on the talent, ability, engagement, creativity and the intellectual power of its people, Molly strives to continuously foster a supportive work culture that makes the firm a good professional home.

Committed to recognizing tangible and intangible contributions to the firm as a whole, Molly knows how to work with and support smart people, who in return, challenge her to realize even better results. Ever-optimistic and approachable, Molly has weathered changing economics, leadership transitions, and the sea change from profession to industry, all in an environment of intense competition for talent and clients. She has navigated the firm through mergers, and knows from first-hand experience how to integrate new personnel and organizations into the Kelley Drye culture.

Recently, Molly played a key role in the creation of the Kelley Drye LEAD (Leadership, Education and Development) program, an educational program for the firm’s partners. The focus of the LEAD program is to educate partners about the business of the firm and how it is managed, provide a forum that supports the development of strong internal relationships that will lead to enhanced cross-serving of clients, and to invite feedback and continuous input into the current and future management issues and initiatives of the firm.
