The Dishwasher will assist with the overall cleanliness of the kitchen including cleaning of dishes, kitchen equipment, and other items in the kitchen in accordance to federal and state regulations and the dietary program implemented by Oaks Senior Living policies and procedures. The Dishwasher will maintain clean and sanitized dining service areas and assist in the receiving, rotation, and storage of products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Washes and inspects all dishware and glassware.
Stores clean utensils, dishes and glassware in proper places.
Keeps dish washing machine and dish room in clean operating condition.
Promptly reports any malfunctions or breakdowns of equipment to Food Service Director.
Sweeps and mops kitchen area and waitstaff station and cleans filter over stove area.
Delivers ice to dining room. May assist waitstaff with serving and bringing in dishes to kitchen, when necessary. May deliver meals to residents in their apartments, when necessary.
Performs assigned cleaning assignments according to established policies and utilizes the proper cleaning chemicals.
Keeps work areas clean and uncluttered.
Ensures that dishes are readily available for the next meal.
Stores dishes in the proper location in a way to prevent contamination
Reports to: Food Service Director and Lead Cook
Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Desire to work with older adults. Friendly, caring disposition.
Must be 18 years of age. Must have a satisfactory criminal history check.
Must have physical exam by a licensed physician. Must have a negative drug screen.
Must be able to react in an emergency situation.

This position is responsible for cleaning the food delivery, storage and food preparation areas. This position helps maintain inventory of china, glassware, hollowware, silverware and cooking utensils. The dishwasher will be responsible for operating a commercial dishwashing machine and loading and emptying the machine throughout their shift. The ideal candidate must be able to understand and follow instructions, adhere to the company's cleaning standards and maintain a sanitary work environment. Essential Duties:
Maintains and organizes dish room and dish machine.
Operates dish machine to company and manufacturer`s specifications.
Restocks all detergent, sanitizer and floor cleaner as needed.
Assists with cleaning other areas or equipment of restaurant as requested.
Sets up buffet lines as specified by the Chef or Sous Chef.
Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
Washes pots, pans and trays.
Stores all dishes and other wares in proper areas.
Sweeps and mops kitchen floors and other kitchen related areas.
Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
Removes garbage and places it in designated containers.
Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans and re-lines with new garbage bags. Breaks down cardboard as needed.
Polishes silverware, platters and chafing dishes using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work area.
Loads and unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food.
Assists chefs as needed.

About the Venue
Fifth Third Park will be one of the newest and most state-of-the-art minor league baseball and entertainment facilities in the country! The ballpark will be located in downtown Spartanburg, SC and will be the home to the Hub City Spartanburgers, an MiLB affiliate of the Texas Rangers. Fifth Third Park will play host to 66 professional baseball games per season, but it will operate well beyond baseball, and will also be utilized for other events including concerts, festivals, comedy shows, amateur sports, community gatherings and private functions. The facility will be able to welcome over 5,000 fans on game days and over 10,000 guests when operating concerts and other mass gathering events.
