    Outpatient Surgery (RN) Status/FTE: FT / 0.6-0.8 FTE Shift length: 8 hours Start Time: Variable Unit: Outpatient Surgery Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Four (4) 8-hours shifts per week Required qualifications: Current state RN License Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school BLS for Healthcare Provider and ACLS and PALS required upon hire Must complete moderate sedation course within 3 months of hire Two (2) years of clinical experience Two (2) years of experience in surgical or procedural setting Preferred qualifications: BSN Preferred CAPA or CPAN Certification preferred Cardiac Monitoring experience preferred Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the perioperative setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in all surgical procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
