What You'll Be Doing:

Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE:
Learn the terminology, techniques and operating characteristics involved on flexographic press operations to print and meet established single, multi or process color quality and production requirements.
Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, rotating schedule.
Pay rate: $22.00/hr
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Work with a trainer or skilled operator to acquire a working knowledge or work orders, schedules, artwork, color cards, charts, established procedures and written instructions
* Use common hand tools such as rubber hammer, wrenches, screwdriver, pliers, fixed gauges, zahn cup, densitometer, inks, step ladder and hand lift dolly
* Learn to set up and use all test equipment in accordance with proper procedures.
* Develop a functional understanding of proper sequential and/or set up of ink, printing impression, tension, nip feed, rewind rolls or cylinders and related drying, ink feed and other presswork arrangements and controls.
* Develop the ability to operate press in prescribed manner, monitor operation and make various checks and adjustments to maintain quality standards and production requirements.
* Move material, press rolls and supplies as required and perform press shut down operations and minor maintenance in prescribed and proper manner.
* Record time, production, or other required information on proper form. Maintain press and supply storage area in a clean and orderly condition. Observe all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations.
* Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Knowledge of work orders schedules, artwork, color cards and charts.
* Ability to perform a wide variety of press operations.
* Strong mechanical aptitude.
* Demonstrated good performance in current role
REQUIREMENT:
* Transition to role of Press Operator after completion of training and availability of Operator opening. Shift will be determined by available opening at time of promotion.
