In this on-call position, you will be required to work at least three (3) shifts per month, having evening and weekend availability, working no more than 1000 hours per year. We offer a $2.00 per hour shift differential for our second shift and $2.50 for our overnight shift.
Responsibilities
Supports maintenance of a safe, therapeutic environment for clients seeking services through Crisis Recovery Center programs on the Substance Use Stabilization Unit, Adult Mental Health Unit, and Youth Mental Health Unit, as well as in Crisis Residential.
Facilitates client safety and quality care in Crisis Residential and Crisis Recovery Center Programs, through completion of client rounding and belongings checks
Assists with client medication observation in Crisis programming as needed
Performs tasks related to maintaining environmental standards in crisis programming
Assist in de-escalation of clients experiencing a mental health crisis through engagement with client and coordination with team members providing clinical intervention.
Completion of required documentation within established timeframes, through use of an Electronic Client Record
Participates in team meetings to assess clients' progress.
Participates in emergency response activities as assigned.
Requirements
A qualified candidate must possess a valid State of Illinois Driver's license and have a good driving record. New employees are required to attend paid on-site, HR New Hire Orientation at our Central Public Health Center in Wheaton, during our day shift generally, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, for one week. Must have flexibility to work on the day shift for two weeks of additional training on site at the CRC.

COLLABORATES WITH: Collaborations exist with the Coordinator - Advocacy & Crisis Intervention Services; SVSS staff members at the location and at other sites; other YWCA staff members; and community partners.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Services: Participate in the provision of on-call services during the work-day, overnight and weekends. Provide all member services to victims of sexual violence and their non-offending significant others. Participate in the provision of twenty-four hour telephone, and in-person, crisis intervention services. Provide initial and on-going support to members; provide victim, referral and advocacy information by telephone hotline; provide information through medical and criminal justice programs. Serve as the designated crisis responder for LAN regions including Kankakee, Vermillion, Will/Grundy, Kane/Kendall, and South & West Cook .
Complete the Crisis Intervention Intake Packet during each crisis encounter.
Document all crisis activity in CareLogic within two hours of response.
Facilitate family reunification, family-generated placement, or short-term agency placement as appropriate.
Obtain approval from the After-Hours Crisis Supervisor before any placement occurs.
Provide linkages, referrals, and resource coordination based on youth and family needs.
Remain accessible by cell phone throughout scheduled shifts.

Hospital Based Emergency Room - Ottawa, IL
Sunday through Thursday- 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Rotating on call
SALARY: $18.00 (Exact salary calculation based on education and experience)
Completes assessments of clients in crisis within ED of local hospitals to determine appropriate level of care
Completes de-escalation of clients with acute symptoms
Screens and evaluates clients for higher level of care
Completes clinical assessments and treatment plans for clients deflected from ED
Completes referrals for follow up from ED or to inpatient psych facilities
Works after hours on a rotating evening and weekend schedule
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Family Therapy or Human Service Field
Bachelor's Degree in like field with 2 years' work experience in a Behavioral Health setting
High School Diploma and 5 years working experience in clinical role in a behavioral health setting
