You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule.
As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but rather will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our my Time mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule.
When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.
We also ask for your active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you need to respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts at Target. If you do not respond to our attempts at contact, your employment may be terminated. Additionally, if you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated.
Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it most are critical to your success in this role.
Should you be offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you are properly prepared for your new role. Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position provides case management to persons infected and affected by HIV/AIDS within the two-county area of Volusia and Flagler Counties (Area 12). Responsible for the implementation and oversight of care plans. Ensures Ryan White services are consistently used as the payer of last resort. Updates all required information regarding payer source eligibility on his/her clients in the FL RW Portal, CAREWare and HMS Databases within three business days. Completes and maintains accurate documentation of all client-specific activities. Case notes, scanned documents and all required information on clients are entered in the FL RW Portal and CAREWare database three business days. Promptly links clients to appropriate agencies for services and activities required to assist the client in achieving the goals and objectives identified in their care plan. Facilitates linkage and re-engagement activities for clients who appear to be out of care. Authorizes for transportation for clients to receive medical services and other social aid services (including provision of food vouchers) as needed. Youth Opportunity is a nationally recognized leader in residential and behavioral health treatment for at-risk youth.Deep Creek Youth Academy accommodates 117 males aged 1219 across multiple overlay programsincluding IMH, CMH, SAOS, MHOS, BDD/DD, and medically complex care. Delivered within a traumainformed, 24/7 residential setting, youth receive individualized clinical services such as Skill Streaming, Living in Balance, MRT, and Impact of Crime, alongside therapeutic recreation, life skills training, and restorative justice. Onsite nursing, psychiatric care, licensed dietitian meals, incentive systems, and Youth Advisory Board input foster engagement. Length of stay is tied to treatment progress, criminogenic risk reduction, and readiness to reintegrate
About the Role
As a Youth Care Specialist, you will supervise and support 710 youth through daily activities while helping them develop the internal skills they need to succeed. Youll play a vital role in ensuring safety, modeling positive behaviors, and contributing to each youths treatment progress.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor youth activities, safety, and well-being
Facilitate group meetings and support conflict resolution
Implement behavior management systems and de-escalation techniques
Assist with schoolwork, activities, and treatment goals
Document daily progress, incidents, and observations
Communicate with treatment teams about youth progress
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers license
Ability to pass background checks
Preferred:
2 years of college coursework or experience working with youth
CPR, First Aid, and crisis intervention certification (or willingness to obtain)

What You Need
High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) to four (4) years of child welfare experience preferred; or any combination of training, education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills.
Experience working as a mental health technician, behavior technician or psychiatric aide, preferred
Experience in a setting providing respite/short-term care services or therapeutic group care, preferred
The Youth Care Specialist II is responsible for completion of required trainings and certifications within the first 90 days of employment and as required by regulation thereafter
Valid driver license with a clean driving record, required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for constant visual and audial supervision of youth in the therapeutic respite program at all times while on shift
Creates an atmosphere conducive to growth and development of the youth of their cottage as individuals and as a cottage group, as well as contributing to a positive milieu in the cottage that includes all youth and staff
Plans and provides for the transportation for youth in their cottage to various functions and activities that may include, but not limited to, special earned outings, school functions, medical appointments, etc. This requires appropriate notification and documentation
Provides for the nutritional needs of the youth in their cottage including the preparation of meals according to approved commissary menu, along with implementation and all necessary documents with the menus and commissary
Provides for the health and clothing needs of each resident in the cottage. This includes over the counter medications, proper documentation (as assigned) of medication. Clothing needs are to be communicated through the clothing room and purchase order if required
Maintains the order, safety, cleanliness of the facility, housekeeping and adequate supervision of youth at all times
Responsible for documentation according to agency policy, i.e. daily progress notes, incident reports, e-mail communication and is familiar with the computer resources in the staff office
Efficiently administers and documents medications as prescribed to youth in cottages
Implements the behavioral program that includes, but not limited to providing interventions based on individualized treatment & behavioral plans, recording behaviors through point sheets, communication logs, and providing reinforces at appropriate times
Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
