How to calculate sales growth

By Zippia Team - Dec. 9, 2022

To calculate sales growth, you need to subtract the net sales of the previous period from that of the current period, then divide that number by the net sales of the previous period, and finally multiply that number by 100 to get the sales growth percent.

Here is the formula to calculate sales growth:

Sales Growth = (S2 - S1) x 100

S2 represents the net sales for your current period. S1 represents the net sales for the previous period.

Sales growth is the percentage of growth a business has in net sales from one period to another.
