What are an operations manager's duties?

Operations managers are talented managers and leaders that support operational leadership in a variety of departments. At both large and small organizations, operations managers supervise, hire, and train employees, manage quality assurance programs and strategize process improvements.

Common tasks include doing the following:

• Ensuring all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way

• Purchasing materials, planning inventory, and overseeing warehouse efficiency
