Kathy Wu Brady is a social enterprise executive, an experienced digital business leader, and a long-time supporter of women’s professional development.Kathy is thrilled to be a member of the Catchafire (www.catchafire.org) executive team, supporting change makers across the world. Catchafire is an online platform that helps philanthropic organizations provide high-impact capacity building support to large numbers of nonprofits.Catchafire helps nonprofits articulate their operational needs so that they can effectively engage with skills-based volunteers on short term, well-structured, operational projects. The Catchafire solution strengthens nonprofits by connecting them to highly talented pro bono professionals to complete critical work. Catchafire partners with leading foundations and nonprofits, such as Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, Annie E. Casey Foundation and American Cancer Society.Prior to Catchafire, Kathy led several digital media and e-commerce organizations through rapid and deep change and developed expertise across several functions (strategic planning, business development, product management, marketing, finance, and organizational design). Kathy has been an active member of the Penn community (Penn Engineering women’s mentor, Trustees Council of Penn Women, NY M&T Alumni Committee) and is a mentor in the 92Y Women in Power Fellowship Program as well as advisor to GenHERation, a female founded and led startup transforming how young women and companies connect to create new career opportunities. Kathy lives in Manhattan with her husband and her precocious son and daughter.
