TFC is a new opportunity to provide intensive support and treatment to youth, their families and their foster families. Primary responsibilities:
Assists clients in linking to services, identifying barriers, and connecting with supports prior to discharge
Provides consultation and support to families, youth, and adults in need of services
Works closely with the teams to create stabilization plans, discharge plans, and supported engagement
Screens direct referrals for needs, assist in triaging individuals and provides clinical assessments and mental health therapy
Provides assistance to families regarding resources available to the families and youth that will support the healthy functioning of the family unit
Communicates with families, legal systems, schools, mental health providers, probation, and social service agencies
Provides timely and accurate communication to supervisory and management staff and team members regarding significant events
Maintains and completes paperwork and compiles documentation required by the organization and for the governing/accrediting agencies

The MFLC counselor is an independently licensed mental health professional who exercises discretion and independent judgement to provide appropriate resource information in the form of non-medical counseling, coaching, training and education to military service members and their families.
Non-medical counseling is supportive in nature and addresses: living conditions; life skills; improving relationships at home and at work; stress management; adjustment issues, such as those related to returning from deployment; marital problems; parenting, fear, grief and loss.
School counselors and Child Development Center Counselors are assigned to DoDEA schools, military childcare centers, and in some cases, local community schools. Counselors should have experience working in a school setting to qualify for CYB positions. CYB counselors are also assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and for on demand assignments. CYB counselors are responsible for working closely with military branch Points of Contact (POCs) to assure that the program is provided within the scope of the contract and meets the needs of assigned installation.

Qualifications
License or Certification:
Must be qualified to independently complete an assessment within the scope of practice of his/her discipline (for example, RN, SW, OT, PT, ST, and Rehabilitation Counseling).
If licensure is required for one's discipline within the state, individual must hold an active license.
Must meet eligibility requirements for CCM or ACM™ certification upon entry into this position OR within two years of entry into the position.
CCM or ACM™ certification required OR must be obtained within two years of being placed in the CaseManager II position.
· Minimum Qualifications:
