The Case Manager will provide extensive case management to newly arriving refugees receiving Program of Initial Resettlement Services. Case Manager will link clients to available resources to meet immediate and long-term needs; administer limited financial assistance for eligible clients within the first 90 day period. Bilingual in an applicable language is preferred. Essential Functions 1. Manages refugee cases, ensuring timely delivery of services and fulfillment of requirements outlined in the Cooperative Agreement with Department of State/Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration and as required by LSC standards and procedures. 2. Take leadership to ensure provision of professional, confidential, culturally- and socio- economically-sensitive case management services to clients. These services can include transportation and bus orientation to interviews, liaison with interpreters, cultural orientation, and addressing other employment barriers such as health care, childcare, ESL and other. 3. Coordinate and provide airport reception for refugees through the Reception and Placement Program. 4. Develop and document a budget for each case with expenditures and dates. 5. Assist is securing housing for refugees and ensure that housing is fully furnished. 6. Assist clients in applying for social services benefits. 7. Take leadership in documentation and reporting in accordance with contractual requirements and HIPAA guidelines. 8.
