Job Summary
Supervisor of Behavioral Health works in coordination with interdisciplinary teams to organize, prepare, and deliver evidence based clinical services across the continuum of care for Adults and Child/Adolescents. Clinical services include individual, group and family therapy. Maintains ethical principles and professional standards of practice in adherence to the discipline's professional code of ethics.
This is a key supporting member of the management team that oversees day-to-day program operations and is responsible for the supervision of assigned clinical care activities to monitor standard work and meet regulatory requirements. Career growth opportunities.
Key areas of responsibility:
Unit and Personnel Management
Supervise all clinical care, including use of behavioral health interventions, emergency management and monitors compliance with requirements for treatment planning and transition planning.
Hires, trains, provides coaching and gives corrective action, delegates tasks to ensure productivity and educates staff.
Assesses staff performance and develops clinical team.
Identifies opportunities for operational improvement and plans to implement them in collaboration with Program Manager.
Provides clear goals and expectations for staff and holds them accountable. Sets and measures results with respect to established objectives.
Direct Patient Care
When required, conducts a comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment and establishes a care plan, as appropriate.
Provides direct patient care that may include: case management, care coordination, interdisciplinary collaboration for care transition needs, crisis intervention/safety planning, counseling, and emotional support to patients and families coping with illness, trauma, or end-of-life care, referral and discharge planning.
Clinical Excellence
Leads administrative and development activities including but not limited to: team meetings, clinical supervision of staff and staff education.
Provide social work field supervision to second year social work students
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social work required.
Current Connecticut license; LCSW, required.
1 year of management experience in a healthcare related setting required.
2 years of experience as a licensed Clinician; LCSW, required.
Previous experience in clinical setting with Adults or Child/Adolescents
Computer proficient
Ability to assess problems, determine solutions and make decisions within a timely manner

The individual will assist with a study focused on the neurobiology of avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) in adults, including clinical, neuroimaging (fMRI/sMRI), and neuroendocrine metrics, and may have the opportunity to be involved in other clinical research studies in the MEDRC and Holsen Lab. Under the supervision of the principal investigators, the post-bac clinical research assistant will carry out a broad range of neuroimaging, biostatistics, and computer science-based research activities and procedures as indicated below. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Interact with adult participants during clinical study visits in the MRI environment
* Collect neuroimaging data during clinical study visits
* Contribute to the collection, coding, management, and analysis of serologic and behavioral data
* DICOM unpacking, conversion of data to NIfTI (BIDS) format
* Creation of bash scripts for data organization
* Visual inspection of structural and functional data quality
* Editing and running MATLAB-based SPM12 preprocessing scripts
* Quality assessment of motion for functional data
* Editing and running first- and second-level models in SPM12 and fMRIPrep
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Uploading data to the NIH Data Archive
* Preparing detailed agendas and data updates for meetings
* Conducting structured clinical interviews for psychiatric disorders, including eating disorders, mood disorders, and suicidal ideation. Training and supervision with a clinical psychologist provided.
* Processing (aliquoting, centrifuging) blood samples collected during study visits
* Assist in logistical coordination and preparation before study visits
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
* Have a strong background and interest in neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, psychology, biology, mathematics, statistics, or computer science

The Fetal-Neonatal Neuroimaging and Developmental Science Center, Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience, and Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Boston Children's Hospital seek to hire a full-time Clinical Research Assistant responsible for executing all tasks associated with The HEALthy Brain and Child Development Study (HBCD). The study aims to examine brain and behavioral development in children with and without substance exposure and other highly variable environments from pregnancy to 10 years of age. This nationwide, prospective, longitudinal study uses an innovative battery of neuroimaging measures (MRI, EEG), complemented by an extensive armamentarium of behavioral, physiological, and psychological tools as well as assessment of a range of biospecimens, to understand neurodevelopmental trajectories. This project is part of NIH's Helping to End Addiction Long-term (HEAL) initiative. Ability to work after daytime hours as needed and be available for weekend study sessions. Must be willing to travel throughout the greater Boston area.
This role is looking for a preferred two year time commitment. Spanish fluency is highly preferred for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Consent and recruit pregnant persons and children for research studies through interviews and written communications. Provide detailed background information regarding studies to families, communicate all policies and procedures, and respond to all inquiries. Evaluate suitability of prospective study candidates and make selections based upon study requirements.
* Execute study visits remotely, in the lab, and in the home, including conducting and helping with behavioral testing, MRI scans, biological sample collection and handling, and EEG and biosensor data collection.
* Serve as liaison to participating families, guiding and advising them throughout each phase of the study. Coordinate follow-up visits. Act as a resource to study participants, addressing any concerns they may have. Troubleshoot resolution of any issues that may arise throughout the study.
* Participate in preparing necessary documentation for Institutional Review Board (IRB) and NIH, together with the Principal Investigators (PIs), as needed.
* Create and prepare data collection statistical reports and analytical summaries for distribution to study teams for review and analysis as needed. Prepare/update documentation for ensuring study quality (e.g., procedural manuals) and dissemination of findings. Conduct background literature reviews as requested by the PIs.
* Participate in the training of newly hired study staff as needed.
* Coordinate activities between the hospital and participating collaborators. Regularly travel to the institutions involved in the project (e.g., MGH, BWH) and communicate project policies and procedures to personnel. Monitor and review data collection and entry and informed consent procedures, ensuring consistency of application.
* Assist PIs in planning and implementing the study and perform other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned/required.
