Job Description
The Clinical Supervisor/Field Experience Coordinator will work as a clinical supervisor in the on-site departmental training clinic at Texas A&M University- Central Texas (Community Counseling Family Therapy Center). Additionally, this position performs duties for field experience coordination related to external sitework for clinical internships for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program (CACREP accredited) and Marriage and Family Therapy program (COAMFTE accredited).
Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer. The department is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
Responsibilities:
Competent in providing clinical supervision to graduate students (in person and tele-health) on campus in the training clinic.
Collaborates and Coordinates with Director and Assistant Director of the Community Counseling and Family Therapy Center.
Collaborates with Program and Practicum Coordinators (MFT- COAMFTE/CMH-CACREP) and administrative staff by serving as a liaison with external sites (field experience coordination duties).
Represents the department, college, or University on various committees.
Participates in development and implementation of Continuous Improvement planning based on clinic and department goals.
Participates in planning and coordinating operational or procedural matters to meet clinic goals and objectives.
Provides leadership for the clinic along with and in absence of the Director/Assistant Director.
Handles special projects as assigned by the Director/Assistant Director.
Provides daily and weekly clinical supervision and guidance to teams of counselors and therapists in training.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (COAMFTE accredited) or a related field.
Two years post graduate experience in community mental health, private practice, or other related clinical experience including therapy services and program management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of COAMFTE accreditation standards
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding.
Licensing / Professional Certification:
Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (or eligible in Texas by hire)
Eligibility or Status as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor/ AAMFT Approved Supervisor-in-Training.
Preferred Requirements:
5 years experience in community mental health, private practice, or other related clinical experience including counseling services and program management.
Field Coordinator Experience
Experience working previously in an on-campus counseling training clinic.
Doctorate of Marriage and Family Therapy from COAMFTE accredited programs (opportunity for adjunct opportunities may be available, if properly credentialed)
Salary: Commensurate
Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Nights and weekends as needed.
Supervision of Others: This position provides clinical supervision to marriage and family therapy graduate students and clinical mental health counseling graduate student.
Work Location: This is not a remote position. The selected candidate will be required to work on campus.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
