The Production Manager is a key technical resource for Greensboro Complex Maintenance/Production division that oversees a variety of media production activities requiring considerable knowledge of principles and practices, as well as operation, maintenance and repair of the more advanced complex technical production equipment which includes multimillion dollar computerized Daktronics LED video boards, scoring equipment, operating sound and mic systems and production lighting equipment, both hardwire and WIFI internet technical support for in-house staff, promoters, vendors as well as ticketed audience/fans attending events. The individual will be responsible for helping with the provision of all technical support to promoters/vendors as requested which has changed over the last few years with all the advanced technology used for most performances. This position also provides first level support to venue PC's.
A primary focus of this position is diagnoses and repair of problems in approximately $5M in LED equipment as well as handling implementation of graphic designs and integration of artwork into these systems. Candidate must be able to develop graphics both in static and AVI. This employee will perform extensive independent work on Greensboro Complex communications services and other mediums. This position addresses issues in very demanding and time sensitive situations for live events, in addition to coordinating the work of technical contractors and assuring that their work is performed at high levels and within tight time constraints. Duties also include the scheduling for operation and training of full and part-time staff on the operation of the sound, lighting, LED control systems for events.
This role will pay an annual rate of $79,000.00-$83,200.00.

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00

About Our Opportunity
We are seeking a 2nd shift production manager to work in the Blairs, Virginia warehouse. The production manager will effectively manage all aspects of the production area, including helium filling, balloon production, and napkin production .
Responsibilities
Leads the production team to meet expected production goals.
Effectively controls inventory, including inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods.
Ensures product consistently meets established quality control standards.
Develops, monitors, and maintains departmental standards and costs.
Develops, executes, and revises departmental SOP's to enhance quality, quantity, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Maintains records necessary for preparing and distributing accurate and timely reports.
Complete and update work orders in JDE.
Interacts with all areas of the department to understand issues and assess needs to improve consistency and integrity of processes.
Responsible for daily management and supervision of departmental workforce, including providing direction, setting deadlines, and resolving problems. Administers corrective action according to company guidelines.
Works with Human Resources to interview, select, and train employees to fill vacant positions.
Annually prepares performance evaluations for departmental staff.
Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Stays current with developments within the manufacturing and distribution field and shares expertise with others.
Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.

Qualifications
Ability to communicate with management, colleagues, line staff, and individuals outside the company in order to meet departmental goals.

Associate degree (A.A.) highly desired; Bachelor's degree (B.A.) preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manage daily operational activities of supervisors and production staff to ensure customer orders are received, scheduled, and produced at the lowest possible cost to meet the customer's requirements while maintaining established safety and quality standards
Analyze operations and key metrics to ensure that the facility maintains high quality and safety standards; proactively look for ways to increase operational efficiency and contain costs
Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are developed and maintained for all operational activities
Report deficiencies to plant leadership; identify and resolve operational issues
Assist in development and implementation of safety programs
Ensure that all regulations and company policies are understood and followed by supervisors and production employees; advise them of correct interpretation when necessary
Conduct meetings with department management to communicate essential policies, plans, or problems affecting operations, employee relations, and general company information
Maintain preparation for and participate in plant inspections by authorized agencies utilizing appropriate staff
Monitor inventory levels for supplies and equipment and initiate or approve purchases as appropriate
Prepare reports and records for management review
Manage assigned employees, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management. Understand and effectively apply work rules, union contract provisions (if applicable), and employment policies. Administer discipline consistently and fairly. Work with Human Resources and plant management to resolve employee grievances.
Actively communicate with employees through shift meetings and informal methods. Maintain and promote positive employee relations in work environment
Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all company, state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all company regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
