SUMMARY: Admissions Counselors serve Corban University in the area of recruitment and relationship building. They work with prospective students and their families from the point of inquiry and continue to assist them with the admissions process all the way until census date for each new student.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work with assigned prospective student group (identified by zip code of home address) throughout the application process from inquiry to enrollment.
Represent Corban University for assigned student groups at high schools, college fairs and churches, conferences and other outreach events.
Effectively communicate the vision and mission of Corban University to prospective students, high school counselors, alumni, youth pastors, parents and other relevant persons of influence.
Work with the financial aid office to provide prospective students with accurate information and counseling about all aspects of the financial aid process .
Follow up with prospect files through letters, phone calls, emails, texts, visits and other appropriate correspondence.
Work with the admissions team in the planning and implementation of on-campus and off-campus admission programs.
Evaluate applicant files for the recommendation of the admissions decision.
Other duties that are relevant to the overall recruitment effort of Corban University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:
Each TUG counselor is expected to make 100 contacts weekly (prorated for vacation/campus closure days)
20 unique contacts each day
20% of weekly contacts must be made by phone
During the Fall and Spring Travel Seasons, each Admissions Counselor is expected to represent the university at college fairs, high school visits, church visits, and individual student/family appointments. They are to meet the appointment requirements communicated to them prior to each travel season.
Occasional weekend and evening work required for visits and recruitment events
One weekday evening shift of 10:30a-7:00p during the school year (September-April)
Attire includes business professional including blazers and/or ties for men and blazers for women when meeting with visitors on campus.

DOJ/ICITAP is seeking an advisor who will be responsible for engaging partner governments to achieve these objectives: (1) strengthen the abilities of partner governments to detect, deter, and respond to terrorism and violent extremism by providing targeted technical, tactical, and leadership training; (2) support organizational change that recognizes the strategic value of women's participation and leadership in law enforcement counterterrorism efforts; and (3) promote the sharing of best practices related to counterterrorism investigations.
This advisor will also provide professional training to partner governments that tailor country specific strategies to promote lasting change from within an agency that will ultimately contribute to the operational effectiveness in combatting transnational crime and terror. This program operates globally, and traveling is expected.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Engage with partner countries, organizations, and relevant officials to assess and strengthen bilateral and regional capacity for countering terrorism, countering malign Iranian influence
+ Engage with partner countries and organizations to develop a common understanding of the threat, exchange best practices, and identify gaps and further assistance needs.
+ Facilitate networking opportunities, counterterrorism training, and the advancement of successful women in law enforcement while promoting U.S. counterterrorism efforts abroad.
+ Assess partner country's existing capacity to counterterrorism and the role of women within their policing strategies.
+ Provide partner governments with the knowledge and tools to support organizational change that recognizes the strategic value of women's participation and leadership in law enforcement counterterrorism efforts.
+ Develop and implement curriculum for training on a variety of law enforcement topics, including recruitment/retention, performance standards, interview and interrogation of women and children, and counterterrorism operations.
+ Manage staff and individuals within probations and post monitoring within the host nation by providing best practice principles.
+ Work with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to facilitate information sharing, to assist with investigations and to provide guidance on probation and post release monitoring matters, countering Iranian influence and subversion, and women in policing.
+ Instruct on concepts of interviewing and communicating with offenders and others in person, by telephone or by written correspondence in a variety of settings during the supervision period. Visits offenders and others in their homes and in the community for the purpose of verifying and assessing the home situation and the offender's adjustment while under supervision.
+ Provide information on the analysis and interpretation of gathered case information to: a) identify additional information needs; b) assess offender risk; c) create and update a case plan; d) formulate supervision strategies by applying host nation agency policy and procedures, training and experience; e) implements supervision plans and strategies to insure compliance with conditions of supervision and/or to maintain the offender in the community with minimal risk to the public by applying host nation policy and procedure, training and experience.
+ Provide operational assistance via workshops, trainings, equipment donations etc. to bolster counterterrorism skillsets for law enforcement professionals.
+ Facilitate rapid deployment of subject-matter experts to provide technical assistance in the identified partner nation.
+ Maintain documentation, generate reports to summarize activities and report progress (After Action, Quarterly, Bi-weekly, etc.), create and maintain databases for the storage of information and assist in audits.
+ Assist, evaluate, and advise ICITAP and DoS CT with strategy development to promote new and innovative approaches to engage women in counterterrorism.
+ Conduct regular TDY travel to selected countries for country-assessments, training, evaluations, equipment donations, etc.
**Requirements/Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in international relations, law enforcement, justice studies, women, peace, and security studies, public policy or related field; preferred Master's degree.
+ Minimum ten to fifteen years of experience in law enforcement; senior leadership rank preferred.
+ Intimate knowledge of Hizballah and other Iranian-backed proxies.
+ Knowledge and experience working with capacity building and strategy development in the law enforcement and counter terrorism arena.
+ Experience working overseas with high-ranking senior government officials.
+ Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with partner governments, foreign officials, and international organizations.
+ Experience working with professional development networks in law enforcement.
+ Familiarity and experience with UNSCR 1325 Resolution on Women, Peace and Security;

Department Summary
The Prison Education Program (PEP) at the University of Oregon provides a range of unique educational opportunities for people incarcerated in Oregon's prisons, as well as credit and non-credit bearing courses and activities for campus-based students. Elements of the PEP include Inside-Out classes in two of Oregon's prisons, Inside-only classes at three prisons, and common readings, workshops, lectures, and other activities at four prisons. The PEP also provides television programming to all of Oregon's prisons and has an interactive distance learning program for individuals in solitary confinement/disciplinary housing at two of the prisons.
The PEP draws upon faculty from a range of disciplines across the colleges at the university and annually hosts a robust cohort of approximately 12 student interns. The PEP does not grant degrees, but supports the attainment of a bachelor's degree through other UO majors. Student involvement with the PEP has had considerable impact on post-graduate interests, redirecting many students to law school, work in the criminal justice system, and in nonprofits working with people at high risk for involvement in the criminal justice system or people who are reentering communities after incarceration.
Position Summary

This temporary employee will maintain a robust schedule of engagement with partners who currently collaborate with, or are interested in collaborating with, George Fox University. The coordinator will work closely with these partners to understand their specific needs and explore how George Fox University can best support them.

This temporary employee will serve as a bridge to the high-quality educational experience at George Fox University through persistent and strategic engagement. The position will be responsible for expanding the University's reach into new regions across Oregon and the broader Northwest.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the Dean/VP in supporting administrators and teachers in accessing professional development opportunities.
Collaborating with the College of Education faculty and staff on the development of new product offerings based on feedback from partners.

A day in the life of this position:
This temporary Educational Partnerships & Outreach employee will work closely with the Dean and Vice President, serving as the frontline in developing strategic relationships. They will actively engage in outreach efforts, including cold engagement strategies, to create new pathways for collaboration with schools and partners not traditionally associated with George Fox University and the Friends Church.
We're looking for candidates who have:
Experience with higher education enrollment services
Experience understanding the needs of leaders in K-12 private and public education.
Experience with business development / consultative sales
Ability to work both on a team and independently.

The TRIO Upward Bound program is seeking two Educational Advisors. These are full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, professional faculty positions.

The TRIO Upward Bound Educational Advisor provides academic, career, and personal guidance to eligible first-generation, low-income high school students with the goal of increasing their secondary school success and post-secondary enrollment. The Advisor plans, implements, and evaluates services that foster student academic achievement, personal development, and college readiness. This position contributes to the program's mission of promoting access to higher education for underrepresented youth
The Educational Advisor coordinates services provided to program participants including advising, tutoring, Upward Bound (UB) curriculum, and workshops/field trips according to grant requirements.
The Educational Advisor provides the initial and primary advisement to all program participants, teach a seminar and lead workshops for participants. The Educational Advisor also supervises in-school student tutors.
The Educational Advisor coordinates the recruitment and outreach of prospective participants of their respective target school. We serve sixty students from each target school (Corvallis High School, South Albany, Sweet Home High School, McMinnville High School, Hillsboro and Hood River Valley High School). Students will receive academic support throughout their program tenure. A 4 to 6 weeks residential summer program is another component of the program.
The Educational Advisor provides additional support during the summer programs (non-residential and residential), which may require overnight responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
30% Coordinates programs and services for participants
25% Provides group and individual advisement to program participants
20% Coordinates with target school staff and UB summer program staff to promote and coordinate delivery of services to participants
15% Recruit and assist in the selection of eligible participants

5% Participates in professional development and other duties as assigned by the Associate Director.
What You Will Need
+ Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Health Promotion, or related field.
+ One year of experience in supporting, providing resources and teaching curriculum for low-income high school students or families, and other underrepresented students (A Masters degree substitutes half-year of experience)
+ Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with participants, parents, target school staff, and OSU faculty and staff.
+ Demonstrated experience working with people from different backgrounds and lived experiences.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
What We Would Like You to Have
+ Ability to work independently and comply with federal regulations and program guidelines.
+ One year of experience in providing educational workshops, specifically to economically disadvantaged, first-generation and diverse populations.
+ Experience with TRIO or similar grant funded programs such as CAMP , HEP preferred.
+ Desired qualifications include: Bilingual, particularly in English/Spanish.
+ Knowledge of high school graduation requirements, credit evaluation, state assessments, and college entrance examination.
+ Proficiency in data entry, recordkeeping, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
+ There are some evening and weekend work hours. Occasional overnight trips for program activities.
