Job Duties: * Review estimate, contract and contract documents (drawings, specifications, addenda, etc.) to become familiar with project * Check erection drawings and piece tickets against contract documents, approval drawings and 'mark-ups' * Suggest or modify details to reduce costs to County Prestress, owner and/or erector * Compare actual project being drawn with estimate at bid sheet and alert Project Manager/Engineer and Estimator of quantity or material deviations * Ensure piece drawings are available a minimum of two days prior to their production dates * Ensure embed plates and loose material are checked well before they are required so material can be fabricated, assembled and delivered * Stay in continual contact with Project Manager, Project Coordinator and Project Scheduler in order to meet erection and production schedules * Responsible for checking dimensions and scope of work of drawings & details prepared by others * Work with Project Engineers and Project Coordinators during development of erection drawings and piece tickets * Work with all other County Prestress departments to promote a strong working relationship * Develop and maintain relationships with external engineers, architects and contractors as required or requested Work Environment: * Office working environment Physical Requirements: * Sitting frequently * Carrying / Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds rarely * Standing / Walking / Climbing Experience & Qualifications: * Education - AutoCAD or Revit certification, or Autodesk certified * Knowledge and Skills - Detailed experience in precast concrete drafting and detailing.
