Job Description About the Role: The Associate 1st position plays a crucial role in the durable goods manufacturing process, specifically within the Plant 2 Frame/Foam division. This role is responsible for ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Associates will work closely with team members to assemble, inspect, and package products, contributing to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing line. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement, as associates will identify areas for enhancement in the production process. Ultimately, the success of this role directly impacts the company's ability to deliver high-quality products to customers in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to understand and carry out instructions provided in written and verbal form. Communication skills to successfully interact with supervision, co-workers, and other departments as needed. Employee is willing to work as a team member in any and all job assignments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Clean molds per direction of scheduling board or Maintenance Technician Must be able to pass written & practical driving test for fork truck. Must be able to stand for extend periods of time up to 2 hours between breaks. Must be able to lift 40 pounds up to 65 pounds occasionally. Must be able to climb ladders and climb over obstacles. Use mobile equipment to move molds (ie. Fork Truck, Pallet Jack, power pallet jack). Maintain & properly use PPE used for cleaning molds. Document all work on provided forms (carrier Check Sheets). Make minor repairs to molds and carrier per Maintenance Technician's direction. Perform housekeeping and 5S in and around area. Complete Mold changes in acceptable time frames. Assist maintenance with Weekly, Bi-weekly and Month PMs. Maintain the Mold Release Chemical for the Mold Release Robot. Insert & Extract carriers from the foam chain conveyor. Perform required maintenance and upkeep of carriers (auto vents, air lines, proxs & switches). Maintain the coolant in the carriers Temperature Control Units (TCUs). Clean & maintain all Wet Skids & containment systems in Foam area. All other duties as assigned. 2nd Shift : 6:00pm to completion
