    The Field Service Technician I is an entry level position that requires frequent travel to customer sites to assist with installation, servicing and repair of automated packaging machinery. Work assignments are varied, but limited in scope and complexity. Work typically is under the direction of more experienced staff. This position is accepting applications from Alabama, Georgia, & Florida. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: * Steward our mission (to enrich lives by providing differentiated packaging automation and services) and values (unwavering integrity, servant's heart, ownership spirit and continuous innovation and improvement). * Learn and demonstrate the "6+1 ways" customer service model at all times. * Able and willing to travel a minimum of 75% of the time to perform tasks at customer sites. * Assist and learn from experienced field service technicians and machine assemblers. * Learn how to troubleshoot packaging machines and resolve mechanical, electrical, and programming issues. * Learn how to communicate effectively with field service advisors to resolve technical issues. * Learn to establish a positive and professional relationship with customer personnel. * Learn how to document pertinent technical and customer information to facilitate an ongoing business relationship. * Learn to produce and submit accurate trip and expense reports in a timely manner. * Be proactive at learning new components and design principles as they are introduced. * Learn how to proactively identify product/service sales opportunities at customer sites that will enhance customer's packaging processes. * Comply with all safety policies and procedures. * Assist with related tasks and projects. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must have a two-year technical degree in machine automation or related field such as Mechatronics, Robotics, Fluid Power, Aeronautics Maintenance, or Industrial Maintenance, or a high school diploma and two years of demonstrated work experience in the packaging manufacturing industry or a related technical field.
