The primary purpose of this job is to handle and possess knowledge of all deli products. Team members receive, process, prepare, wrap, slice, weigh, mark, package product, and stock shelves, cases, and bins, while maintaining neat attractive conditions and properly signed displays.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Primary accountability for specific functions and results)
Provide quality customer service is an essential component of every position within GIANT/MARTIN'S stores. Each position helps its own group of customers, which may consist of consumers, co-workers, vendors, and business associates.
Receive, processes, prepares, wraps, slices, weighs, marks, and packages products.
Maintain proper shelf, case, and display conditions, to include stocking, cleaning, straightening, and rotating product, which typically weighs less than 30 lbs.
Maintain proper cooler conditions to include coding, rotating, organizing cases of product (frequently weighing more than 20 lbs. and occasionally weighing up to 50 lbs.), and cleaning.
Maintain proper prep area conditions, to include cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as they apply to the deli area.
Maintain safe and clean sales floor conditions, to include sweeping and mopping.
Provide exceptionally friendly and courteous customer service. Must be able to answer questions, make recommendations, and promote products through suggestive selling.
Must dress according to company policy and maintain a neat, clean appearance at all times.
Must complete ELM training courses as they are added to the learning page.
GENERAL RULES:
Report all accidents and file incident report to the supervisor within 24 hours.
Get a First Aid kit immediately for all injuries.
Follow instructions. Whenever in doubt, ask questions.
Report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Apparel and footwear must follow the company policy.
Horseplay is forbidden.
No running on the premises.
Know emergency evacuation routes, exits, and alarms.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required, including cut-resistant gloves when working with knives or blades.
Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits.
Use proper lifting procedures.
Keep floors and work areas clear and clean.
Never leave running machinery unattended.
This is a smoke free shop. Smoke in designated areas.
Employees are responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the employee manual.
Know MSDS information about all materials used during work.
Must complete and follow Lockout/Tagout training.
Must complete and follow Confined Space training and Right to Know training.
QUALIFICATIONS

Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the cafe´.

Essential Job Functions
1. Assist in food preparation.
This will require repetitive movement such as cutting, chopping and spreading for up to 30 minutes at a time. Heavy lifting will occur when moving large trays, pans or pots of food from stoves and ovens to serving areas.
2. Assist in serving food to students and staff.
This will require standing for a period of 40 minutes without interruption and move along a serving line to different stations.
3. Assist in lowering and setting the tables for students and staff.
This will require moving large, folding, cafeteria tables to a specified location and lowering them into position. Heavy lifting will be required when lowering the tables.
4. Sets up tables with beverages and trays when necessary.
This will require moving from table to table and setting beverages, trays and utensils for the students.
5. Receives and stocks supplies.
This may require carrying and placing on shelve boxes and cases of supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Additionally this will involve re-stocking of milk coolers that require carrying containers of milk weighing 25-30 pounds.
6. Assist with maintaining supply inventories.
This will require maintaining a written record of supplies received and used on a daily basis.
7. Scrape and wash dishes, pots and pans.
This will require loading and unloading trays in the dishwasher and washing and drying pots, pans and utensils. Moderate lifting will be required when returning these trays, pots, pans and utensils to their storage areas.
8. Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, including surface areas, shelves and floors.
This will require cleaning stoves, ovens, meat cutters, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, counter tops, storage shelves and kitchen floors.
9. Assist in cleaning and putting up tables when finished.
This will require cleaning the tops, seats and at times the underneath areas of the large, folding, cafeteria tables raising them into storage position and moving them to their storage location in the cafeteria. Heavy lifting will be required when raising the tables.
The Substitute Cook's Helper may be requested to perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of FoodServices.

Position Overview: The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. This position will help FWS realize that mission at Mingo NWR and other wildlife refuges.
The Traveling Invasive Plant Strike Team Member will gain a variety of experiences from invasive plant/ and/or animal removal, GIS/GPS plot surveying, forestry practices and procedures to biological surveys, facilities maintenance and/or visitor services. Conducting vegetation surveys/inventories, shadowing biologists, foresters and natural resources managers, landscaping, sign and trail maintenance, community engagement, staffing a visitor center and assisting with educational programs are all examples of the types of experiences and duties the member may perform.
Primary duties will include:
Ability or willingness to learn invasive plant and native plant species
Willing to remove invasive plant species by hand and by herbicide application
Conducting forest/plant inventories including GPS and GIS technology and the integrated application of forest management software
Collecting ecological and timber-related forest metrics to develop timber-harvest prescriptions
Marking timber, harvest planning, monitoring and evaluation.
Support Timber Stand Improvement (TSI) work, such as treating midstory trees via hack and squirt.
Compiles maps of forest and woodland areas
Provides assistance in identifying needed forestry and biological improvement projects
Uses instruments to take measurements.
Assisting with performing biological projects/surveys as needed and assists in collecting inventory data.
Secondary duties may include:
Providing forestry information for public materials and participates in informational and/or environmental education programs to individuals, local organizations and schools.
Assisting refuge staff with general tasks around the duty station/office related to core position functions
This individual placement is meant to facilitate professional development and promotes exposure to land management agencies and networking with professionals. This could include gaining experience in different conservation fields and shadowing different work groups.
Schedule: Duties will primarily be carried out Monday - Friday, typically 5 days/week, with flexible scheduling between primary hours. Bi-weekly totals should not exceed 80 hours. A flexible work schedule may be required, which could involve work performed outside of normal work hours including on weekends and/or holidays. Time off may be granted and requests should be directed to ACE and the FWS for approval.
Position Benefits
Living Allowance: The ACE Member is expected to contribute ~40 hours/week and will receive a living allowance of $769/week to offset the costs of food and incidental expenses, dispersed bi-weekly.
Public Land Corps Hiring Authority: Members serving under this agreement may be eligible for a federal hiring authority upon completion of their term of service and 640 hours of service. If the duration of a PLC-eligible term is not long enough for Members to accrue 640 hours of service (~16 weeks), the total hours served at the completion of the term may be eligible to be combined with hours accrued from another PLC-eligible term to meet the 640 hours requirement. PLC projects also include specific eligibility requirements such as age and citizenship. Please contact ACE staff with questions about eligibility, or view general eligibility information on our website.
Housing: ACE members will be accommodated in provided FWS housing at no cost for the duration of the term.
Gear Reimbursement: ACE members will have up to $200 to spend on eligible gear purchases. Eligible gear for this position includes boots, sturdy pants, socks, outerwear, etc., and must be approved by ACE staff prior to purchase.
Provided Training/Orientation: ACE members will receive position specific training and an orientation outlining ACE policies and procedures, clear guidance on prohibited activities, and networks for support. Specific training may include chainsaw or ATV/UTV use.

Members must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident, as required by U.S. government contracts
Willing and able to represent ACE and the partner organization in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner.
Ability to be both self-directed/work alone, and be a positive, contributing member of a group.
A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record (documentation to be provided upon request). Members must be 21+ to drive due to ACE's insurance and liability requirements.
Willing to undergo and must pass the required criminal history checks

ACE Members will need to complete bi-weekly timesheets, beginning of term feedback forms, end of term evaluations and for longer terms, a mid-term evaluation.

Job Purpose:
Every Huck's Market FoodService Associate plays a key role in running the foodservice area smoothly and effectively. By following company guidelines, Associates help make sure the department stays profitable while delivering top-notch quality food and customer service.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities
Ensures that the foodservice department is open and ready for business during foodservice hours
Gives all customers prompt and courteous service
Effectively communicates with store associates
Follows all federal, state and local laws and ordinances pertaining to the operation of the store

What to expect as a Food & Nutrition Associate:
Position is entry-level duties, which includes washing dishes, pots and pans, clean work areas, equipment, floors and other duties as assigned.
Food prep, serving, and delivery for patients, cafeteria and catering. Run cash register.
Stock kitchen, cafeteria and patient areas. Put away deliveries of food and supplies using FIFO rotation.
Provide excellent customer service, promote teamwork with great communication (both orally and written).
Multi-task in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
Learn and follow policies and procedures to meet department standards.
Practice safe food handling.
Perform heavy physical work throughout shift.
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Commercial FoodService experience preferred.
Basic computer skills for education.
Ability to obtain Food Handler certificate after hired is required.
