Your contribution
This internship position is a great opportunity for a student majoring in InformationTechnology, or another related field to gain hands-on experience working with Wakefern's Tech Department.
The intern will function independently and as a member of a project team under the general direction of senior staff members. First year Tech Interns will be paid at $17.00 per hour. Returning Tech interns will be paid at $18.00 per hour. Master's students will be paid at $19.00 per hour. Role Overview
The IT GRC Co-Op will support risk register management, stakeholder engagement, audit support, and policy/framework alignment. This role is ideal for students interested in information security and cybersecurity frameworks.
Co-Op Duration: 1-year Co-Op position.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in documenting risks identified through audits, assessments, and incident reviews.
Track remediation progress and update risk status in the central risk register.
Assign and follow up with risk owners to ensure timely closure of action items.
Coordinate with process and control owners to gather updates and evidence for compliance activities.
Follow up on incomplete documentation and delinquent responses related to user access reviews and third-party risk assessments.
Assist in collecting and organizing evidence for internal and external audits.
Participate in walkthroughs and control testing activities.
Support updates to the IT GRC framework and cybersecurity policy documents.
Help align risk documentation with NIST CSF 2.0 and SEC disclosure requirements.
Requirements
Open to undergraduate students; preference for graduate students.
Major in Information Security or Cybersecurity.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
