Supports implementation of student accommodations and instructional plans as directed by the reading specialist or classroom teacher. Provides positive encouragement, emotional support, and a welcoming, supportive learning environment for students. Adapts instructional activities, assignments, and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting literacy objectives. Monitors student engagement and behavior during reading intervention sessions and provides feedback to the supervising teacher.
