Job Description: The Athletics Fan Engagement Student Employee position is designed to introduce undergraduate/graduate students to the field of sports marketing by providing hands-on experience in the areas of marketing, fan engagement, and promotion of Baylor's NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics programs. During the course of the program, the student will develop and improve competencies in leadership, customer service, teamwork, multitasking, and time management. Compensation is standardized and commensurate with responsibilities and performance.
Job Functions: · Assist Full-Time Fan Engagement Staff and Graduate Assistants with sport program responsibilities · Assist with game-day responsibilities to help carry out giveaways upon entry, selection of contestants, and operations of in-game promotions and presentations · Office hours (on average 3-6 per week) as assigned to work on upcoming promotions for upcoming events · Assist with Tailgating and Touchdown Alley setup, operations and tear down at each home football game · Contact area groups regarding upcoming promotions · Help fulfill poster or fan pack requests · Complete Baylor Spirit Program mailing for each season (Fall, Winter, and Spring) · Research other DI schools in-game marketing, fan engagement and promotional efforts and develop creative ideas for implementation at Baylor · Other duties as assigned · Compliance with all NCAA and Baylor policies

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Head Start Teacher Assistant is responsible for a group of children or area of activity as assigned, supervising play activities by participating in group games, enforcing safety rules, and intervening when children are likely to injure themselves or others. The Head Start Teacher Assistant will also act as Teacher in the absence of Director/Teacher by learning all aspects of the function of a Head Start Classroom, such as completing all assigned paperwork and reports, supervision of children, and sharing in the implementation of lesson plans.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for developing, writing, and conducting a planned lesson at least once a month; more frequently as experience is gained.
Prepare and conduct at least one center activity a day, such as circle time, science, home or other. Will be responsible for additional center activities under the guidance of Center Director and or Classroom Teacher as needed.
Work closely with the Center Director and Classroom Teacher to maintain a calm classroom conducive to good early childhood learning standards without resorting to physical punishment.
Ensure that childcare routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with good child development principles. This includes routines related to hand washing, tooth brushing, eating, napping, and transitions between activities accomplished through working and communicating with Center Director/Teacher.
Assist the children at snack, breakfast, and lunch time; assure that the Head Start philosophy of serving family style meals is maintained and that the children serve themselves. The Teacher Assistant and Teacher will both be seated at the table(s) with the children at mealtime.
Ensure the safety of children through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space, proper maintenance of equipment, and regular practice of fire drills and other emergency procedures.
Work as a member of a team to ensure continuity of curriculum and high standards of equality in the classroom; work individually with children who have trouble during group activities.
Responsible for documentation in ½ of the children's files in all content areas.
Complete Individual Development Plans for each enrolled child; continue the on-going assessment process, maintaining written or computer records on each child.
Observe, record, and report any child's behavior, sharing information appropriately with other staff members.
Attend all staff meetings and other training as provided.
After the new hire probationary period (90 days) Teacher Assistants must work toward and receive a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Center Director.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Head Start Teacher Assistant is responsible for a group of children or area of activity as assigned, supervising play activities by participating in group games, enforcing safety rules, and intervening when children are likely to injure themselves or others. The Head Start Teacher Assistant will also act as Teacher in the absence of Director/Teacher by learning all aspects of the function of a Head Start Classroom, such as completing all assigned paperwork and reports, supervision of children, and sharing in the implementation of lesson plans.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for developing, writing, and conducting a planned lesson at least once a month; more frequently as experience is gained.
Prepare and conduct at least one center activity a day, such as circle time, science, home or other. Will be responsible for additional center activities under the guidance of Center Director and or Classroom Teacher as needed.
Work closely with the Center Director and Classroom Teacher to maintain a calm classroom conducive to good early childhood learning standards without resorting to physical punishment.
Ensure that childcare routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with good child development principles. This includes routines related to hand washing, tooth brushing, eating, napping, and transitions between activities accomplished through working and communicating with Center Director/Teacher.
Assist the children at snack, breakfast, and lunch time; assure that the Head Start philosophy of serving family style meals is maintained and that the children serve themselves. The Teacher Assistant and Teacher will both be seated at the table(s) with the children at mealtime.
Ensure the safety of children through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space, proper maintenance of equipment, and regular practice of fire drills and other emergency procedures.
Work as a member of a team to ensure continuity of curriculum and high standards of equality in the classroom; work individually with children who have trouble during group activities.
Responsible for documentation in ½ of the children's files in all content areas.
Complete Individual Development Plans for each enrolled child; continue the on-going assessment process, maintaining written or computer records on each child.
Observe, record, and report any child's behavior, sharing information appropriately with other staff members.
Attend all staff meetings and other training as provided.
After the new hire probationary period (90 days) Teacher Assistants must work toward and receive a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Center Director.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Job Description
The student intern will work under the Field Operations Department and work closely with Task Force Coordinators, Wildland Urban Interface Coordinators, Fire Coordinators, Foresters and Woodland Ecologist. They will also be exposed to many aspects of the agency. Internships are 10 weeks long. Lodging and meals are the responsibility of the intern.
Responsibilities:
-Assist Field Operations personnel with capacity building, fuel mitigation efforts, public outreach and incident response.
-Assist Forest Health personnel with all conservation education outreach programs, landowner assistance and completing state management objectives.
-Attend any wildland training that is available.
-Assist other regions and programs with delivery.
-Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions: 50% office work, 50% field work/traveling. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. However, there may be early starts and late evenings for meetings or occasional travel. This is a mixed office type environment with field work and occasional travel.
May require exposure to harsh environmental conditions such as wind, sun, rain and temperature extremes.
-May require walking long distances, standing for extended periods, twisting, reaching, bending and kneeling.
-May require lifting and carrying heavy objects.
-May require driving motor vehicles on and off road for long distances.
-May require operating heavy equipment with related exposure to equipment vibration and noise
-May require operating computers with monitors for extended periods of time.
-May require infrequent travel in State vehicles with overnight stays.
-May require extended communication with the general public and employees in person, by phone or electronically.
-Emergency response may result in exposure to emotionally stressful situations for extended periods of time.
-Must meet moderate physical fitness standard of a 2-mile walk carrying 25lb pack in 30 minutes or less to be allowed on the fireline.
Education and Experience:
Required Education: Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college/university that have completed their junior year of college up to second-year post-graduates, in a course of study relevant to the mission of the agency: Natural Resource Management, Range Science, Forestry, Emergency Management or closely related field.
Preferred Education: Preference given to students with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Required Knowledge: PC-based programs and software
Required Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
Required Abilities: Multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Abilities: Ability to utilize GIS/GPS programs.
