The schedule will be Monday - Friday, Sunday evening as well as occasional Saturday's, part-time temporary, approximately 19 hours/week. POSITION DESCRIPTION& DETAILS: * Provides sales and customer service which includes greeting customers when they enter the Power Bean Cafรฉ, Well Bean Cafรฉ, Mystic Java, and the new coffee shop, making coffee drinks, and selling convenience food items during day and or evening hours. Answers the phone and fields questions, etc. * Maintains good public relations while working with faculty, staff, and customers. * Handles monetary functions including cash security and use of point-of-sale system. * Maintains product and overall cleanliness for all stores (which includes cleaning and upkeep of equipment). * Maintains cleanliness of snack food within the coffee shop areas which includes making sure it is stocked with pop, assorted candies, chips, cookies etc. * Assists with store promotional events and sales. * Supports innovation, creativity, and ideas to improve/enhance processes, functions, etc. in the department and as a whole for the college. * Performs other duties as required or assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Required: * Current Bismarck State College student, enrolled in at least six credit hours. * One year of barista experience or customer service experience * Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated positive customer service skills, and ability to relate to people of varying ages and backgrounds. * Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite, email, and electronic calendar (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects. * Ability to work independently and handle interruptions. * Ability to lift to 50 pounds (essential function).
