What You'll Do Serve as a primary legal advisor to business leaders across sales, operations, HR, compliance, billing and reimbursement, procurement, privacy, laboratory and pathology services, and executive leadership. Draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements, including laboratory and pathology services agreements, professional services agreements, hospital contracts, vendor agreements, sales agreements, and confidentiality arrangements. Advise on healthcare regulatory matters, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Eliminating Kickbacks in Recovery Act, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, and broader healthcare compliance obligations. Develop and deliver training, policies, and procedures to strengthen compliance and risk mitigation across the organization. Act as a subject matter expert within the Legal Department, mentoring colleagues and contributing to the evolution of legal processes, tools, and best practices. What We're Looking For Juris Doctor required; licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with Texas licensure strongly preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years of legal experience in-house or at a law firm, with significant exposure to healthcare, life sciences, hospitals, laboratories, medical devices, or anatomic pathology. Deep experience with healthcare contracts, regulatory compliance, and fraud and abuse laws. Strong command of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party reimbursement frameworks. Proven ability to translate legal risk into clear, practical guidance for business leaders. Experience supporting complex, regulated operations across multiple states. Excellent legal research, writing, and problem-solving skills. Confident communicator who can engage effectively with executives, operational leaders, outside counsel, and cross-functional partners. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervises a group of children and program activities, keeping an accurate count of children in his/her group at all times and ensuring camper safety. Follows all policies, procedures, and standards as established by the law or the Y (e.g., safety or emergency procedures, behavior guidance strategies, child abuse prevention policies); makes ADA accommodations where appropriate; maintains the program site, equipment, and required program records. Nurtures children through purposeful programming; plans activities that are intended to achieve program goals and outcomes, are culturally relevant, are developmentally appropriate, and are consistent with the Y's values. Creates a positive rapport and shared interest with all youth; models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Provides opportunities for youth to lead, problem-solve, and make decisions and choices within the program and provides daily opportunities for youth to reflect on and respond to their experiences. Provides and welcomes ongoing dialogue with parents and caregivers about their child's needs and progress; connects families to the Y. Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training. Must like children; previous experience working with children in a camp setting preferred. Must be able to attend and complete all required day camp training. Previous experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: outdoor living, archery, camping, songs/music, crafts, STEM, team building, skits, sports, aquatics, or recreational games. Possess strong conflict management, decision making and communication skills. Ability to swim at least 25 yards, including deep water preferred. Capacity to be flexible and adjust to changing work environment. Previous experience working with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds. Commitment to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). CPR/AED/O2/First Aid certifications and Child Abuses Prevention, Anti-Harassment, Blood Borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication Awareness, and Slips, Trips, and Falls trainings required within 30 days of hire.
