· Serve as a daily camp driver, transporting campers in a 12-passenger van
· Participate enthusiastically in all camp activities, including planning and leading assigned programs
· Support and supervise daily programs, special events, overnight campouts, and all-camp activities
· Drive for SDC when necessary, including morning pick-ups, afternoon drop-offs, and other times as needed
· Work with, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff
· Assist with off-season promotional events such as Open Houses, camp fairs, and community registrations
· Assist in recruiting new campers and staff and conducting tours during the summer and off-season
· Attend and lead SDC events held outside regular camp hours, including Overnight Campouts and Pool Party/BBQ events
· Serve as a trip leader when applicable
· Regularly assist with pre-care and post-care programs
· Attend and assist during Staff Orientation as required (dates subject to approval by the Camp Director)

*Qualifications (Minimum Education & Experience)*
· Must be *25 years of age or older* and possess a *Bachelor's degree*
· Master's degree or enrollment in a graduate education program preferred
· Prior camp experience required; experience working with high school-aged youth preferred

Providing a phenomenal program experience is important to us. You will ensure the behind-the-scenes operations run smoothly, allowing students and instructional staff to focus on the academic and social aspects of the program. While you will be supported by our teams across Recruiting, Human Resources, and Facilities Management, we expect you to take ownership of administrative coordination and problem-solving.
This is a temporary, full-time position with evening and weekend responsibilities. This program will run from the end of June through the beginning of August 2026. About You
Have 2+ years of experience in administrative coordination, preferably in educational or residential, camp, or student life settings

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring Seasonal Sports Program CampCounselors to join our team. The Sports Program CampCounselors will supervise a group of up to ten (10) campers, ages 8-11, ensuring the overall safety and attendance of all campers at all times. Counselors are one of three group counselors and will work with co-workers to lead campers through day of activities and instruction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Complete daily attendance and dismissal records for all campers
Monitor movement of campers between Sports facilities for various sport clinics
Supervise and facilitate lunchtime activities
Assist Sports Teaching Professionals with daily activities planned for campers, including participating in them as needed
Accompany campers to all areas of the Main Club and Beach Club facilities, including First Aid, bathrooms, and activity areas, ensuring no camper is unattended at any time
Supervise athletic activities created by counselors for several “counselors choice” sessions
Attend mandatory pre-season orientation sessions
Effectively communicate with campers, co-workers, lead sports professionals, Westchester Country Club management and parents as needed
Be prepared to act calmly and effectively in any emergency situation in accordance with Westchester Country Club policies
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Prior Counselor experience
Coaching experience or participation in an upper level team sport preferred
Current enrollment in College
Up to date First Aid and CPR Certifications a plus
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to positively motivate and manage children
Comfortable with taking direction, as well as communicating with co-workers
Highly responsible and well-organized in tending to campers' daily needs
Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times
