Equestrian staff spend all program time in the barn facilitating equestrian programs for campers and report to the Equestrian Program Manager. (Can be 16 years of age or older.) Media Staff Media Specialist are responsible for capturing photos and videos of campers and staff and uploading photos and videos to the GSSJC photo share site daily as well as working with the Marketing Director to create engaging marketing material. Applicants should have experience using a DSLR camera and knowledge of social media trends for marketing purposes. The Media Specialists will be responsible for creating their own daily schedule and managing their time to photograph all activities taking place at camp daily. Media Specialists report to the GSSJC Marketing Director and Camp Director. General Information: GSSJC provides applicable trainings and certifications for hired staff. All staff are considered role models to all campers at GSSJC overnight camps and are expected to participate in camp activities such as evening all camp activities, meals in the lodge, evening camper supervision, and camp check in and check out. Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older (except Sailing Staff and Equestrian Staff can be 16+ years of age) Enjoy working with youth Valid Driver's License - if driving is a required duty at camp (for the position offered) Ability to reside at the camp property for the duration of the camp season and occasionally live in non-airconditioned spaces (All meals and housing arrangements are covered by GSSJC for Overnight Camp positions) This position performs its duties indoors and in outdoor weather conditions. This position is exposed to outdoor weather conditions, requiring a tolerance to work in hot summer conditions. Not all sleeping arrangements will be climate controlled.
