Essential Job Functions:

Ensure/assist with the timeliness of managed care updates.
Assist with maintenance, risk and education related to 5 STAR Quality Measures/Value Based Purchasing, and Quality Reporting programs.

Qualifications:
Required:

Three years of experience as a therapist with at least one year in a supervisory capacity; strong background in family interventions, including chemical dependencies.
Preferred:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

IHR's mission, since our founding in 1990, has been to develop and support a comprehensive continuum of care for families, individuals, youth, and pregnant and parenting people affected by alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, violence/trauma, mental health challenges and other health issues, while advancing principles of health equity and social justice. Our work is focused on addressing and eradicating inequities in our health care, economic, and justice systems, especially as they disproportionately affect women and people of color. Summary Statement: The Clinical Supervisor for Family Engagement Program will support IHR's mission to develop a comprehensive continuum of care for women, families, individuals, youth and pregnant and parenting women affected by alcohol, tobacco/nicotine, and other drug use, violence/trauma, mental health challenges and other health issues by overseeing service implementation, including training in delivery of evidence-based practices and provision of intensive home- and community-based therapeutic and case management services.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide supervision to clinicians who are providing home-based FEP services, including a minimum of bi-weekly individual supervision, and support Director of Family Engagement Programs as needed in facilitation of FEPregionalteam meetings.
Work with Director of Family Engagement Programs and IHR Intake Specialist on maintaining full caseloads, managing referrals and client assignments for all staff in the region, including reaching out to DCF area offices and Family Networks representatives when openings are available.
Work with Director of Family Engagement Programs to maintain updated license and required certifications.
Maintain ongoing and regular communication with lead and DCF area office contacts.
Attend all relevant DCF and Family Networks meetings and support Director of Family Engagement Programs in leadership of these meetings as needed.
Provide ongoing training and technical assistance on the implementation of evidence-based practices used in the program.
Maintain electronic health records documentation for supervisory position and ensure clinicians adhere to agency policies and procedures, including licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
Maintain centralized caseload data for all FEP referrals and open cases
Maintain supervision documentation within SharePoint.
Assist in development of program reports and contract management responsibilities including compliance with performance standards, achievement of service goals and objectives, and adherence to timelines.

Job Summary:
To work within the Residential Rehabilitation Services (RRS)'s team model, establishing open communication, support, and accountability among staffs and residents. They are accountable to the Program Director, who is responsible for providing supervision and training. The Clinical Supervisor is one who will provide individual and group supervision to all staff, while supporting these staff in developing skills in responding to complex issues such as co-occurring disorders and trauma. To provide program oversight for the designated Substance Use Services Program under the direction of the Program Director.
To provide individual and group clinical supervision (minimum-1 hour) to counselors, case managers, recovery specialists, overnight awake staff, and interns while supporting these staff in developing skills in responding to complex issues such as co-occurring disorders and trauma; in accordance with DPH-BSAS residential regulations and Gándara Center policies and procedures standards.
To train Substance Use Specialists and other program personnel as necessary in treatment protocols, diagnostic and bio psychosocial assessment, interpretation, and formulation.
To train staff on clinical intervention strategies, treatment planning and Substance Use screenings as necessary for excellent service delivery standards.
To train other program personnel as necessary in protocols, assessment methods, interpretations and client intervention strategies.
To supervise non-licensed and licensed direct service staff in the administration of services residents.
To provide leadership and guidance to the primary care staff (recovery support specialists) to ensure the residents experience is as seamless as possible. The guidance to the primary care staff will be given in: the proper use of behavioral health tools and methodology, in provision of services, in the events or conditions that require treatment planning interventions or referral to specialty, secondary or tertiary providers, which are provided by the Program Director or his/her designee.
To provide standards and guidelines to licensed and unlicensed Substance Use Staff in various environments and modalities.
To ensure proper care is being provided in accordance with program contracts
To develop and provide ongoing clinical and staff development and program planning.
To establish a clinical practice policy, case conferencing, creating and reviewing treatment plans, as needed.
To collaborate with other departments in settings where care must be coordinated between medical (MAT, Psychiatric) and behavioral.
