This position is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality across the organization with a primary focus on order to cash and finance data and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong process and analytical mindset, a deep understanding of data management principles, and the ability to drive data and process initiatives. The ideal candidate will have functional and technical experience order to cash and finance data and processes in manufacturing or CPG organizations. Key functional areas may include, but are not limited to:
* Order Management & fulfillment, Transportation, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Pricing
* Costing, General Ledger & Chart of Accounts, Accounts Payable & Vendor Data, Financial Reporting & Compliance, Treasury & Cash Management
Data Stewardship and Ownership
* Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to define and document business data rules and data quality rules.
* Align data quality rules and definitional information with data owners and stewards to ensure consistency and accountability.
* Perform data profiling to understand data characteristics and identify anomalies.
* Partner with data stewards to remediate data issues and improve data quality in source systems.
* Implement data quality standards, procedures, and validation & cleansing rules.
* Develop and implement data quality metrics and automated monitoring processes.

Project and Change Management
* Lead and support data-related projects across experience order to cash and finance domains.

* Apply project management skills to drive initiatives from planning through execution.
Strategic Leadership in Data Quality
* Recommend and lead process and data improvement activities across business areas and IT teams.
* Communicate master data management (MDM) strategies, policies, and initiatives to stakeholders at all levels.
* Identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues across assigned data domains.
Tooling and Technology
* Leverage tools and technologies to support data management activities including writing data quality rules, validations, monitoring routines, and workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
* A bachelor's degree.
* 3+ years of experience in data quality, data management, data governance, or related discipline.
* Experience implementing and supporting order to cash and finance solutions.
* Proven experience working with technical and functional team members.
* In-depth knowledge of data quality concepts, tools, and best practices.
* Experience with data processing languages such as PL/SQL, SQL, etc. for complex data transformations.
* Experience with data profiling and analysis.

Xcel Energy is seeking candidates to support our Environmental Services Department conduct biology and water science related studies at power plants located throughout MN and WI. The paid internship will provide you with practical experience in the energy industry at a company that's committed to excellence, safety and environmental stewardship. The position will involve a variety of field, laboratory and data processing tasks. Considerable time will be spent outdoors working from a boat in a variety of weather conditions, including inclement conditions, and potential for non-typical work schedules including extended hours, nights and weekends. Through practical field experience and mentoring, successful candidates will gain significant professional and personal skills.
Typical intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Participate in a field crew of two to four people using various field sampling techniques including electrofishing, seines and kick nets to collect fish and aquatic samples
Collect biological data including field identification of fish to species and weight and length data
Process preserved minnow, larval fish and macroinvertebrate samples in a laboratory setting and identify to species
Use water quality monitoring equipment including hand-held turbidity and pH meters, hydrolabs and data loggers
Enter field data into Excel spreadsheets and assist with data and statistical analysis, drafting graphs and tables and reporting writing
This is for a full-time position (40 hours/week) to start June 1, 2026. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship's initial summer term and work part-time during the school year based on the candidate's successful performance and Xcel Energy's business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Current student (as of May 2026) enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a B.S. or advanced degree in biology, aquatic biology, fisheries, chemistry, natural resources sciences, sustainability or other science-based program.
Able to commute to the Prairie Island Environmental Laboratory located at 1717 Wakonade Dr., Welch MN and various worksite locations in the Twin Cities Metro and surrounding areas.
Able to work full-time during the summer (40 hours a week)
Preferred Qualifications:
3.0 GPA (out of a 4.0 scale) or higher
Completed undergraduate coursework in aquatic biology, ichthyology, aquatic insects, limnology, hydrology, chemistry or similar related courses.

These positions provide students with an educational experience and on-the-job training in park management, visitor services, and public contact along with assisting with various aspects of park operations. Other opportunities may include learning about and assisting in environmental education and interpretive activities, the maintenance staff, resource management, and assisting the park security staff.
Hours of work vary and include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Normal work hours vary depending on day of the week and park needs. Some shifts will include late afternoon and/or evening hours. **Housing is provided at the following locations: Lake Vermillion - Soudan Underground Mine & Tettegouche.**
Job responsibilities are unique at each location and may include, but are not limited to:
+ Assist staff in daily operation activities while learning about visitor services and customer service by greeting the public and providing information on the park and local area. Daily operation activities include cleaning and grounds maintenance.
+ Become familiar with and explain the park rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to the public.
+ Sell vehicle permits, firewood, and merchandise.
+ Register campers and work with the campground reservation system.
+ Learn about and follow auditing procedures by collecting user fees and reconciling the daily receipts.
+ All activities are performed under the direction of park management. Student will be trained and instructed in the use of construction tools, constructions skills, safety, and park management.
**Minimum Qualifications**
To be eligible for an internship, you must meet the following requirements:
+ You must be a student at an accredited educational institution; AND
+ Your advisor must certify that you will either receive academic credit or fulfill an academic requirement. The signature of a sponsoring academic instructor is required prior to beginning an internship. **AND**
+ Ability to follow directions and work well independently or as part of a team.
+ Excellent human relation and communication skills sufficient to interact with park users and to represent the position and Division in a professional, efficient, and clear manner.
