Job Details
This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket.
You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services.
Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets.
You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls.
You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal.
Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls.
You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service.
Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a **Principal or Senior Principal Network and Communications Field Service Engineer** to our team at **RAAF Base Edinburgh** near **Adelaide, Australia** .
This position will receive daily tasking and prioritization from their site lead. The selected candidate will be responsible for operations and maintenance support of the MQ-4C Triton network and communications systems at a Forward Operating Base (FOB).
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Provide real time support for flight operations and maintenance, addressing any issues related to communications and networking to include fault isolation, remediation, and resolution.
+ Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications and data link systems in military flight test environment, including operations on a flightline, in a hangar, and in command-and-control centers.
+ Adherence to checklists and procedures to ensure repeated success and providing redlines to procedures when necessary.
+ Communicate complex technical issues to local support, the Degrader Action Cell (DAC), Main Operation Bases (MOBs), and Responsible Engineers (REs).
+ Support and lead air crew engagement for proper techniques in solving complex analysis of technical problems that arise during operations.
+ Assist with trend analysis as needed for Responsible Engineers (REs).
+ Perform/support review and analysis of supplier design data and definition of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration.
+ Take responsibility for the testing, maintenance, and integration of Comms and Networks equipment to include radio terminals, software loads, switches, routers, and firewalls required to support ground and flight test operations.
+ Work with system admins, maintainers, and onsite personnel to troubleshoot and repair any internal operational issues.
** The selected candidate will be put on a temporary Domestic Assignment and will report to our San Diego, CA site daily prior to international deployment while clearance(s), Visa(s), and other documents are processing. The employee will go through training in San Diego during this period. **
**The expected timeline before deployment is 3-4 months but this will vary.**
Initially, this position will work a 9/80 shift. **As the program matures, the shifts may become 12-hour shifts that could include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.**

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

At Vermont Gas Systems (VGS), we do important work. We deliver safe, reliable, and affordable thermal energy services to over 56,000 Vermonters in Chittenden, Franklin, and Addison counties. A Service Technician is an experienced member of the Field Service team that travels to customer locations to perform routine maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of most residential natural gas appliances and heating systems. They complete meter installation, repairs and related compliance work. They also provide emergency response services via on-call rotation. They often work independently but may be asked to train other technicians.
The individual in this position will be required to hold, and maintain, appropriate certifications, licensures and operator qualifications, provide superior customer service and navigate a smartphone, tablet and gas detector devices to complete their job duties on a daily basis with attention to detail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION:
Provides 24/7 emergency response to qualifying events, such as, but not limited to, gas leaks, fires, carbon monoxide. Ascertain status of suspected issue.
Operates, calibrates, and interprets gas detector equipment. Ensure proper maintenance is conducted for all tools, equipment and maintain a clean, presentable vehicle.
Responsible for setting meters, turn-ons/turn-offs and compliance work, such as meter remediation, meter surveys, meter painting or changing out meters, when required.
Performs appropriate troubleshooting and service work related to VGS rental programs, VGS service plans and most residential appliances, such as water heaters, space heaters, central heating equipment and conversion burners.
Completes installation and testing of products, equipment and machinery as well as providing instructions to customers on the proper usage of a product. Also, complete installation of piping and converting equipment, such as water heaters, conversation burns, meters and any other options offered by VGS in the future.
Completes daily customer visits, maintain general parts/equipment stock within the vehicle and obtains parts/equipment needed for specific customer visits.
Performs routine inspection checks, cleaning of heating systems and ensuring inspection documentation is thoroughly completed.
Sets, removes, seals and unseals gas meters, regulators, purges lines, checks meter indexes and gas outlets.
Responsible for staying up to date with new product and service information offered by VGS.
Repairs, maintains, installs, and trouble-shoots general problems concerning natural gas appliances.
Relights residential and commercial customer gas service.
Prepares all necessary paperwork, electronically with an attention to detail and accuracy.
Required to serve on the team's on-call rotation.
Attends all required trainings, as provided by the Field Service Supervisor or the Field Service Manager, such as safety, compliance, and monthly team meetings.

The Customer Support (CS) organization is responsible for the installations, qualification, repair and maintenance of the ASML systems at customer sites and is responsible for the necessary transfer of know-how to the customer. Local site Customer Support branches perform these tasks for the customer within the specific region.
Role and responsibilities
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) executes regular and irregular maintenance activities with considerable independency and under limited supervision. The FSE handles defined and regular problems/maintenance on a machine, either independently or through escalation without supervision.
You'll report to the Senior Team Lead, but you'll also be part of the larger Customer Solutions & Support sector - where the in-fab installation and optimization of ASML products happens.
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll:
For our location in Burlington we are looking for an FSE who can support ASML DUV systems as well as ASML PAS5500 systems independently.
Problem analysis and approach - gather all information relevant for the problem, analyze using available means, gather additional diagnostic info if needed, decide on initial approach to solve problem and execute, consult with others.
Problem handovers and routing - handover problem or problem aspects to others (2nd line support), document and package all data relevant for problem resolution (e.g. pass-downs, work orders, field service reports, system problem reports, technical reports).
Repairs - use tools, replace parts, improve settings, to execute repairs and standard service actions independently.
Procedures - based on arranged customer machine time window to arrange for all (possible) parts, tools, equipment and information / knowledge to be available at start of procedure, execute procedure.
Training / advice - explain appropriate actions to users to correct malfunctions, train customers in use and routine maintenance of equipment, recommend changes in user procedures when needed
Process Optimization - signal gaps and improvement opportunities and reports it to the relevant stakeholders
Knowledge build-up and transfer - maintain and broaden own knowledge, shares best known methods within the work group.
Coaching - provide appropriate support and assistance to less experienced engineers on first tasks.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in relevant Technical Field (Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience will be considered
Minimum 4+ years' experience in semiconductor industry preferred.
Minimum 4+ years' Field Service Engineer work experience preferred.

Oversees the installation of equipment and other work performed by outside contractors on Company property as required.
Diagnoses emergency situations for proper restoration of service to customers based on understanding of the operation of all substations in the Company's system if the Controller is unavailable.
Utilizes protective relay test equipment for the calibration and testing of electromechanical, solid state and microprocessor based protection systems.
Understands and employs safe work practices associated with working in energized high voltage substations and generating stations.
Performs protection and control work consistent with GMP Safety, Switching and Tagging procedures by utilizing tailboard conferences, attending monthly safety meetings, and using and maintaining personal protective equipment.
Qualified to perform switching and tagging duties in accordance with Green Mountain Power requirements.
Required to be on Velco switching and/or tagging list.
Constructs and commissions substation and generation facility protection and control systems consistent with project schedule and cost objectives, by reviewing and commenting on designs and commissioning procedures, installing equipment, performing commissioning, returning corrected prints and commission procedure notes for finalizing documentation.
Maintains substation and generation protection, SCADA communication and control equipment to provide system reliability and reduce operating costs, by performing scheduled preventative maintenance, calibration, operating tests, troubleshooting and repairing protection, SCADA communication and control equipment accurately completing all job and station specific recordkeeping to support facility operation and maintenance
Provides support and feedback for Engineering during the installation, testing, and commissioning of communication equipment, protection and control schemes as needed.
Completes daily paperwork and provides job status as required to all effective work scheduling.
Provides guidance and training to less experienced Relay Technicians and Relay Technician Apprentices.
Ability to coordinate and take the lead on all projects related to the Relay Technician position.

Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-3 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.

A Service Technician is an experienced member of the Field Service team that travels to customer locations to perform routine maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of most residential natural gas appliances and heating systems. They complete meter installation, repairs and related compliance work. They also provide emergency response services via on-call rotation. They often work independently but may be asked to train other technicians.
The individual in this position will be required to hold, and maintain, appropriate certifications, licensures and operator qualifications, provide superior customer service and navigate a smartphone, tablet and gas detector devices to complete their job duties on a daily basis with attention to detail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION:
Provides 24/7 emergency response to qualifying events, such as, but not limited to, gas leaks, fires, carbon monoxide. Ascertain status of suspected issue.
Operates, calibrates, and interprets gas detector equipment. Ensure proper maintenance is conducted for all tools, equipment and maintain a clean, presentable vehicle.
Responsible for setting meters, turn-ons/turn-offs and compliance work, such as meter remediation, meter surveys, meter painting or changing out meters, when required.
Performs appropriate troubleshooting and service work related to VGS rental programs, VGS service plans and most residential appliances, such as water heaters, space heaters, central heating equipment and conversion burners.
Completes installation and testing of products, equipment and machinery as well as providing instructions to customers on the proper usage of a product. Also, complete installation of piping and converting equipment, such as water heaters, conversation burns, meters and any other options offered by VGS in the future.
Completes daily customer visits, maintain general parts/equipment stock within the vehicle and obtains parts/equipment needed for specific customer visits.
Performs routine inspection checks, cleaning of heating systems and ensuring inspection documentation is thoroughly completed.
Sets, removes, seals and unseals gas meters, regulators, purges lines, checks meter indexes and gas outlets.
Responsible for staying up to date with new product and service information offered by VGS.
Repairs, maintains, installs, and trouble-shoots general problems concerning natural gas appliances.
Relights residential and commercial customer gas service.
Prepares all necessary paperwork, electronically with an attention to detail and accuracy.
Required to serve on the team's on-call rotation.
Attends all required trainings, as provided by the Field Service Supervisor or the Field Service Manager, such as safety, compliance, and monthly team meetings.
Maintains appropriate natural gas certifications, Operator Qualifications, and P-2 Vermont Plumbing S Licenses and any other industry, state or federal requirements as required.

Applicable Operator Qualifications.
P-2 Vermont Plumbing S License and/or Masters Plumbing License.
EPA 608 or Universal Type 3 refrigerant certification.
These skills are acquired through experience and proven competency in all aspects of the Service Technician Associate level.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK CONDITIONS:
This position is Safety Sensitive and subject to appropriate drug and alcohol testing as prescribed by the Federal Register 49 CFR-Section 199.
Must be able to sustain awkward positions of kneeling, lying, reaching overhead and squatting to perform duties.

Work is varied in nature. The incumbent applies an advanced technical knowledge of high voltage electricity, electrical control, communication and protection equipment to work performed. Works under limited supervision and in compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Majority of duties, but not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary.)
Functional:
Programs, installs, tests, commissions, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electro-mechanical, solid-state and microprocessor based protective relays, SCADA NTU's and RTU's, data concentrators, digital fault recorders, communication processors, programmable logic controllers, panel meters, transducers, IED's, control panels associated with the GMP's substation, generation, Transmission and Distribution facilities.
Installs, prepares and terminates control cables, coaxial and panelboard wire to required standards.
Terminates, splices repairs and may install fiber optic cable.
Responsible for the installation, calibration and repair of all transducers, transmitters and communication equipment associated with the SCADA LAN system.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

May install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair AMI gatekeepers, 900MHz meter mesh, in building cell repeaters, satellite phones, landline phones (POTS), Multiplexed (JMUX) phone extensions and communication antennas

Internal Work is normally performed in a plant or substation environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is limited. Noise level is occasionally high and includes sounds of turbines, engines and power equipment (tools, etc.). Work involves potential exposure to bodily injury from moving mechanical parts, electric shock and toxic or caustic chemical agents while performing preventive maintenance to building or equipment. Occasionally work is performed in small cramped workspace, at heights up to 75 feet, and around water.
External Work is routinely performed where there is exposure to outside atmospheric conditions or extreme heat/cold or moisture and exposure to traffic while performing line work functions, telecommunications installation or repair. Work is frequently performed at heights up to 75 feet and on uneven and slippery terrains and occasionally, at heights up to 150 feet for wind turbine. Occasionally work is performed in small cramped workspaces and at heights up to 250 feet on lattice tower structures.
