Responsibilities The FieldServiceTechnician:
Travels to Levy locations via fieldservice truck or air
Performs inspections of mobile equipment
Operates and inspects equipment to assess equipment malfunctions
Uses computerized diagnostic system to assist with the identification of malfunctions (CAT ET, Cummings)
Makes recommendations for process to repair equipment and parts to be ordered
Participates in the training and development of less skilled mechanics
Operates and maintains fieldservice truck
Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment to gain access to areas of concern
Examines part for excessive wear and determines reusability
Repairs, replaces, cleans and lubricates parts and components as necessary
Diagnoses and repairs hydraulic systems, electrical systems and mechanical systems
Welds, cuts and fabricates equipment and components
Completes maintenance check list and tests repaired equipment to ensure accurate completion of repair
Makes recommendations for equipment to be repaired by outside sources when necessary
Maintains records and reporting
Meets customer service requirements
Complies with all safety regulations and policies
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent
Expert knowledge of off-road, heavy equipment
Expert knowledge of diesel engines and operations systems

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on complex electrical equipment,
including PLCs, control circuits, communication systems, I/O field devices, and VFD drives/motors.
2. Install or modify electrical equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams,

Job Qualifications:

Maintenance and data collection of Tech Service Trials, including but not limited to field scouting and rouging.
Harvesting activities which include the operation and maintenance of weigh wagons, combines, GPS units and hand harvesting equipment in addition to the sorting, cleaning' and conditioning of seed samples post-harvest.
Assist with management of test plots in all aspects of rice production.
Assist with the taking of pre-harvest notes associated with hybrid rice yield test plots.
Assist with mechanical and hand harvest of rice samples.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Other duties as assigned.
Assist Technical Services personnel and other employees to manage trials in assigned areas to achieve and exceed trial objectives.
Support field activities with other employees in accordance with protocols.
Operating field equipment tillage, planting, spraying, harvest.
Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on field and plant equipment.
Aid in data collection and entry for research trials.
Lead data collection efforts for experimental trials.
Prepare for and assist with RiceTec field days.
Maintaining confidentiality of all work and conversations.
Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent. College students working towards a Bachelor's degree preferred.
