This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. You must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. As part of your onboarding, you will be certified in Dell and Lenovo. All certifications are free to you.
Job Details
This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket.
You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services.
Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets.
You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls.
You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal.
Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls.
You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service.
Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.

Philips Transparency Details
The hourly pay range for this position in Ohio is $27.76 to $44.42, plus overtime eligible.
The hourly pay range for this position in West Virginia is $26.38 to $42.20, plus overtime eligible.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Five years' experience with CNC machine repair
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other business programs as required
Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics is required
Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills are necessary
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job including flexible hours and frequent travel and driving throughout a regional territory

What You Will Be Doing:
As the Field Service Technician for Yancey Engineered Solutions, you will be responsible for effecting service repairs on generator tanks and enclosures in the yard and in the field to ensure conformity to company standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete service and repairs on generator enclosures and fuel tanks.
Complete all jobs assigned by the lead technician to company standards.
Account for all tools issued to complete jobs.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Interact with Lead Field Service Tech to provide feedback to the management group.
Ensure that all repairs meet quality standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner
Complete additional tasks as assigned by management

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years technical experience in the industry is preferred.
