Summary
SENS is seeking a highly capable and self-directed Technical Customer Support Manager to lead and enhance our customer-facing service operations for battery monitoring systems and DC power infrastructure. This role demands technical expertise in battery health analysis, monitoring protocols, and communication systems, as well as excellence in customer-facing engagement. In addition to resolving complex technical challenges, this position includes direct leadership of the Customer Service team, with full responsibility for performance management, team development, and alignment with service excellence objectives.
Responsibilities
Customer Communication & Escalation
Deliver accurate, professional, and technically sound communications across customer interactions and internal teams.
Act as the final escalation point for technical support involving battery monitoring systems and related software.
Lead customer communications around root cause analysis, data interpretation, and long-term corrective actions.
Battery Monitoring Technical Expertise
Guide technical support related to battery monitoring hardware and software platforms-including sensor arrays, communication gateways, battery management systems (BMS), and networked monitoring.
Troubleshoot system-level issues including communication protocol failures (Modbus, SNMP), battery string imbalances, firmware anomalies, and power system integration problems.
Stay current with battery chemistries (e.g., VRLA, NiCd, Li-ion), charging strategies, and system-level monitoring best practices.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve anomalies and deploy field fixes.
Customer Service Team Leadership
Manage and mentor the Customer Service team handling order support, scheduling, RMA coordination, and general service inquiries.
Implement structured workflows for case assignment, status tracking, and timely resolution of service requests.
Monitor service performance metrics and foster a strong customer advocacy mindset within the team.
Service Analytics & Process Improvement
Identify patterns in support requests to drive data-informed improvements in product design, documentation, and training.
Lead development and execution of action plans to address chronic or systemic field issues.
Maintain tight coordination with Engineering, Sales, and Quality to improve first-time resolution rates and customer satisfaction.
Operational Oversight & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Drive resolution of technical support tickets from initial customer contact to final closure.
Develop KPIs, service-level benchmarks, and reporting dashboards to track performance.
Partner with Engineering and Product Management to provide field feedback for next-generation monitoring solutions.
Support product testing, launch readiness, and post-deployment quality assurance for new monitoring hardware and firmware releases.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in technical support, field service, or systems engineering within the telecom, data center, or utility industries.
2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role, managing technical or customer service staff.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training in electrical, electronics, or energy systems.
3+ years of direct experience with hands-on troubleshooting and repair.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must be able to lift 80 lbs. and work on your feet as needed.
Willingness to travel 10% of the time, including occasional international assignments.
In-depth understanding of industrial battery types (VRLA, Li-ion, NiCd) and charging systems.

Base Compensation: $97,000 - $115,000 is the projected pay range for this role and will be determined based on the candidate's overall qualifications and experience.

The manager is responsible for overseeing the design, testing and implementation of enhancements to the real-time network analysis functions used by Dispatch including 7x24 maintenance support for EMS and its functions.
The Manager coordinates work with other PJM personnel, departments and divisions as necessary including: Dispatch, Real Time Data Management, InformationTechnology, Markets, Planning. The Manager also coordinates with the applicable EMS vendors, member company personnel and personnel from other ISO/RTO organizations to ensure the reliable end-to-end operation and availability of critical Dispatch systems. These responsibilities include cyber security as required under NERC and FERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards, SSAE16 and internal audit support as required. The Manager must insure that NERC standards are followed and that auditable records are kept to verify compliance.

POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Manage network and server environments for CRC Americas data centers and locations, ensure
business continuity by proactively monitoring IT Infrastructure and providing advanced IT support.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The System/Network Administrator, shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Server & client administration (planning, architecting, implementing, optimizing, tuning, patching, troubleshooting, etc.) of Windows-based systems.
Administer and maintain AD, GPO, MS Exchange, DNS, DHCP and related services in O365 environment
Administer and maintain Virtual (such as VMWare) environment
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with, and tuning existing server-based hardware, operating systems, and software for optimum performance.
Administer and maintain Cisco Network environment, SAN/NAS environment.
Test, troubleshoot, and tune WAN, WLAN, LAN, VLAN, firewall, VPN, etc. and related systems.
Configuring and Maintaining Proxy/Web Filtering and related security products
Work with vendor and service provider to resolve network & server related issues and review invoices and costs.
Manage, maintain, troubleshoot and resolve issues regarding voice communications (VoIP) and related systems.
Manage and maintain data backup/recovery, antivirus installations and policy
Perform Network/Server utilization/Assessments/Monitoring. Provide monthly utilization and up time reports for all company locations
Evaluate and implement opportunities for automation, tools & exception based alerts for the services listed above.
Participate in building policies and procedures for the systems listed above, keeping global use in mind.
Serve as an escalation point for IT Help Desk Technicians, provide supplemental help desk, Provide advanced support for the company wide desktop IT hardware and software in use
Provide needed documentation to IT help desk team to support end-users in the systems that we employ.
Participate in periodic and as needed after hours IT support, projects & systems maintenance.
Stay abreast with new technologies & certifications relevant to the job.
Communicate changes to end users and provide training to end users or IT helpdesk as needed.
Lead or participate in IT Infrastructure projects as assigned by Department Manager

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
5 - 7 years of combined Network and Server Administration experience in a CISCO/Microsoft/VMWare environment Experience and advance knowledge of Windows Environment
Experience and advance knowledge of SAN, RAID arrays and Server Virtualization
Experience implementing and managing network hardware including Cisco firewalls, core switches, Wireless controllers, routers and related components
Experience managing and administering Cisco VoIP (Call Manager, Contact Center and Unity)
Experience and advance knowledge of O365 environment.
Advance knowledge in Power Shell scripting
Minimum 1 year experience with managing IT Infrastructure projects
