THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
As a Lead GenAI Agent Developer , you will serve as a subject matter expert to drive the engineering needs of the LLM platform, including the GenAI Gateway (Portkey), AWS AI services (AWS Bedrock and foundational models), observability, and customer support for internal and external applications.
You will lead full stack development efforts across AI platform components, integrating cloud-native services, enhancing monitoring and telemetry, and supporting application teams consuming LLM capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in both front-end and back-end engineering, cloud infrastructure, and AI service integration, with a strong focus on building resilient, scalable, and secure systems.
The Lead GenAI Agent Developer role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
* Lead engineering efforts for the GenAI Gateway platform, focusing on scalability, reliability, and integration with enterprise AI services.
* Architect and optimize solutions using AWS services, including Bedrock and other foundational models.
* Enhance observability across platform components to ensure proactive monitoring, issue resolution, and performance tuning.
* Provide technical leadership and support for the Fannie Mae application, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality customer experience.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business needs and AI adoption strategies.
* Build secure integrations (via APIs, MCP, and connectors) with internal data sources (e.g. SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow).
* Manage versioning, testing, and deployment pipelines for custom GPTs, MCPs, Agents and plug-ins.
* Optimize performance and reliability - monitoring usage, latency, and API costs.
* Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Your P&C license - or an ability to obtain within 4 weeks after starting

About the Job
In this role, you will be responsible for helping prospective customers understand and choose the right insurance policies for them from one of our many insurance carrier partners. This position will be responsible for responding to in-bound inquiries and sales outreach. Our property and casualty insurance products protect thousands of individuals and businesses from financial losses related to events like fire, theft, accidents, or natural disasters.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to inbound calls from prospective customers for personal line auto and home insurance policies
Educate customers on insurance policy details such as coverage and pricing
Facilitate the customer experience by answering phone calls, emails, and other requests
Prepare and bind quotes through our carriers
Provide attentive, high energy conversation with customers that show we are actively engaged in finding a policy that best fits each individual's needs
Identify, assess and understand member needs and consistently provide complete and accurate advice and solutions for insurance products and services. Provide detailed issue diagnosis while minimizing transfers, escalations and call backs.
Effectively problem solve and objection handle to remove barriers from the customer purchasing the policy with Washington Insurance
Apply developing knowledge of personal lines insurance to assist members with foundational to moderately complex quotes, binding new business, rating, policy, billing, payment, underwriting, contract and coverage provisions, and premium changes for insurance products and services. Also, maintain respective trailing documents for all states.
Efficiently operate in a virtual environment and navigate multiple systems/programs while maintaining an engaging member interaction that occurs across multiple channels.
Maintain required Property & Casualty (P&C) licenses and state registrations.
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
This position works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and artificial lighting conditions. Long periods of sitting. Long periods of screen use. Ability to communicate in person and over devices. Ability to work in-person with team. Must be able to perform complex tasks requiring independent knowledge and its application to non-routine situations. Must be able to manage high-emotion situations.
