As Chief Technology Officer, Roland is responsible for product management and data science. As Head of Pico's Asia Pacific (APAC) entity, he also oversees all sales, operations, and engineering in the region and communicates client needs to drive Pico's Asia expansion efforts. Prior to joining Pico, Roland managed European and Asian Trading Operations for a high-frequency trading firm in London. Roland worked for Eurex, specializing in low latency technologies and serving in market operations and business development roles in Chicago and Frankfurt.

Seasoned and accomplished IT executive with extensive experience in overseeing and leading technology operations of leading financial services organization. As a Managing Director and the Head of Trading Technology at Citadel, I am responsible for firm’s global trading technology platform, supporting both long/short and quantitative strategies. Before Citadel, I was a Managing Director and the Chief Information Officer of Point72 Asset Management, L.P. I was responsible for the Firm’s global technology platform, supporting both Long/Short and Quantitative groups. During my 15+ years at SAC/Point72, I held progressively senior roles including Front Office Development Manager, Head of Equities Technology, and Co-Chief Technology Officer.Before Point72, I worked at Cambridge Technology Partners where I led a team responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting a global program trading system for one of the world’s largest financial institutions.

As Chief Operating Officer, James focuses on leading business operations functions that support Pico in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). James is responsible for network and platform operations, implementing engineering, data center operations, logistics, Corvil operations and analytics, customer education and Salesforce in EMEA locally.

James brings extensive management and execution experience to Pico, having held a variety of senior positions at a pan-European and global level. James served as the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Corvil, managing product engineering, global technical support, global supply chain management, logistics, corporate IT and client training and certification. Prior to Corvil, James worked as the Vice President for Worldwide Services at Adobe Systems, responsible for technical support and customer services on the creative and enterprise products. He was the CIO at JetForm and held a variety of other consulting and software engineering roles including, Oracle Practice Manager at ICL/Fujitsu.

James holds his M.B.A. from the Smurfit Business School, University College Dublin.

Emma Wheeler is a Chief Commercial Officer at Pico and is based in London, Greater London, United Kingdom. She has worked as Head of New Business & Lead Specialists, Europe at THOMSON REUTERS CORP CAN; Relationship Manager at Thomson Financial; and Director, Specialist Sales, Europe at ICE Data Services. Emma studied at KINGSTON UNIVERSITY.

Sandra Bowen is a VP Finance & Legal Affairs at Corvil and Chief Financial Officer, EMEA/APAC at Pico and is based in Ireland. She has worked as Head of Finance at Damovo, Audit Senior at PwC, and Head of Finance at Cognotec. Sandra studied at Griffith College Dublin between 1983 and 1987, Griffith College Dublin until 2008, and Griffith College Dublin between 2004 and 2008.
