The Neurologic Residency Program is designed to provide practicing therapists with advanced training in examination, evaluation, clinical decision making and neurologic treatment interventions. The program runs 12 consecutive months, beginning in August. Additionally, the program places an emphasis in utilizing research and the literature to maintain practice within the scope of evidence-based therapy. The program is funded by UPMC Rehabilitation Institute and housed within several of our clinics. The inpatient rehabilitation rotation is housed within UPMC Mercy, the acute inpatient observation is housed within UPMC Presbyterian, and the outpatient rotation is split between our UPMC Monroeville and UPMC Lemieux Sports Medicine clinics.
