Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of skilled trades services, including Handyman but not limited to:
Plumbing: Repairs, installations, maintenance of pipes, fixtures, and water systems.
Electrical: Troubleshooting, repairs, installations of electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems.
HVAC: Maintenance, repairs, and installations of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Landscaping: Lawn care, garden maintenance, planting, trimming, and other related services.
Travel to various client locations within the designated service area.
Diagnose problems, provide accurate estimates, and complete work efficiently and effectively.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or landscaping.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Possession of all necessary tools and equipment for the required trades.
Reliable transportation (own vehicle).
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Proof of general liability insurance.
Ability to pass a background check (if required).
Must be able to provide a W-9 form.

Install, repair, and replace residential roofing systems including asphalt shingles, tile, metal, and other roofing types.
Customer interactions with homeowners to help address their issues and answer any questions regarding the repair/install process.
Maintain accurate records of work performed using our CRM system, including job notes, photographs, measurements and materials used/needed.
Ensure immaculate clean-up after installations.
Strict adherence to all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily outdoor work - exposed to all seasons of varying weather conditions.

Interpersonal Responsibilities
1. May be required to interact with Project Managers, on behalf of their foreman or by request of their foreman, regarding job site, equipment or material issues or needs.
Operational Responsibilities
1. Will be accountable to maintain awareness of their schedule and job site location at all times, along with verifying the load sheet to ensure all required materials, equipment and tools are properly loaded on truck prior to departure to job site.
2. May be responsible for driving a company vehicle and other crew members to assigned job site and upon arrival at will unload materials and prepare job site for fabrication and installation. This is after year being with the Company!
3. Depending on job requirements and their qualifications, may be required to operate lifts and other powered equipment.
4. Will be accountable for having all permanently assigned tools and personal protective equipment readily available to bring to any assigned job site and will be subject to a tool inspection for verification at any time.
5. Assemble frames and install glass prior to arrival at project job site or while onsite.
1. Prior to attempting any installation, verify the opening matches the contract documents and once verified, position frames and glass for openings at a job site.
2. Properly prepare all frames and frame openings prior to attempting to place and set the frame into the opening, following all documentation provided for the specific job, along with the procedures and best practices specified during training.
3. During the installation process the field set of shop drawings must be carefully followed for proper installation, while also being aware of potential non-standard conditions and factors that may require troubleshooting to successfully install and complete the job.
4. Upon successful frame and glass installation into the opening, install all required seals and/or stops and as necessary caulk the interior and exterior of the opening.
5. Install as required any break metal per the drawings and procedures.
6. Responsible for understanding, following and promoting safe working conditions, habits and procedures, along with maintaining safe and clean worksites.
7. Responsible for actively managing their own development and training in the Hemm's training program, along with actively driving their career advancement through pursuit of feedback and evaluations from their foreman and conversations with the Training Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience
Preferred: two or more years as a proven Roof Technician in the industrial sector with specific knowledge pertaining to the different types of roofing options available to potential customers.

Working Conditions
This position will be working indoors, in a non-smoking environment, and outdoors, on construction sites.
Normal hours for this position are from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Job start times may vary and have an earlier reporting time. Your Workload may occasionally require up to 10 or more hours per day, weekends work or whenever is needed to meet deadlines, and as required by the Managers of Hicks Roofing.
Rain, wind, sleet, snow, heat and other adverse seasonal conditions are regularly encountered on job sites and while traveling. All employees are responsible for providing the own job and weather appropriate attire.
The noise level is not significant in the Office, but may be moderate to high in the job sites. Hardhat, ears protection, boots and safety glasses will be required in some job locations and construction sites.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary functional responsibilities of the Roof Technician include:
Track and maintain equipment kept on job sites and in work trucks at all times.
Provide a high quality roof to all customers while protecting the assets and profitability of Hicks Roofing.
Maintain a clean and safe job sight at all times.
Ensure that all job materials and tools are protected from damage and loss daily.
Notify the Foreman of any job tool or material needs at a minimum the day prior to the need.
Report all change orders with owners and GC to the Foreman a.s.a.p.
Submit to the Foreman daily remittance of time sheets and projects documentation and invoices.
Report immediately to the Foreman any significant deviation from the expected outcome of any project and on any potential or actual safety issue or legal action.
Notify The Foreman or Superintendent of any problems getting to work on time or at all.
Perform any other duty as may be assigned or requested by Supervisors.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE
