The Operations Supervisor leads a team and ensures the safe and efficient operation of assets, equipment and processes within a geographic area. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for supervising catch operations, and scheduling drivers and loads to meet production schedules. Also responsible for managing truck shop operations. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: * Act as liaison between Wayne Farms and contracted catching crew laborers.
* Assist with preparation of daily catch and plant receiving schedules.
* Coordinate and communicate schedules to drivers and contractors.
* Project weight of product on farms.
* Supervise truck drivers, weigh masters and truck shop personnel.
* Compile, balance and submit daily and weekly reports to Accounting.

* Maintain fuel inventory and holding shed maintenance.
* Ensure adherence to safety program, as well as DOT and D7I complainace.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with employees and customers.

* Oversee and monitor sanitation and disinfection of breeder houses.
* Ensure all USDA and animal welfare guidelines are enforced and adhered to.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Direct supervision of 6 - 10 hourly contracted employees.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* High School Diploma or equivalent AND minimum 2 years' live poultry experience within a similar environment OR Associate's Degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science or related field from an accredited institution.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's Degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science or related field from an accredited institution.
* Poultry or veterinary assistant experience.
* CDL license

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Review open sales orders and plan shipment based on product availability and customer request date
Adjust daily truck loading schedules, shipping paperwork, product tags, etc. as needed
Prepare and issue weekly work schedules for blue collar team members, factoring in vacations and other openings for overtime planning
Ensure correct product flow through packout and rewind areas using scheduling tools
Provide technical and logistical support for the packout and rewind areas
