The Opportunity As a Warehouse & Logistics Associate at DDC, you are the engine that powers our events. You are responsible for the seamless flow of inventory, equipment, and transportation that allows our culinary and service teams to perform at the highest level. This role requires a disciplined, detail-oriented professional who understands that the success of a 500-person gala begins with the accuracy of the warehouse pull.
Core Responsibilities
Logistics
Event Pull Precision: Execute high-accuracy pulls of inventory and equipment based on BEO specifications. You ensure that every event departs the warehouse with the exact tools, platters, and glasswork needed to meet DDC standards.
Field Support & Delivery: Manage the safe transport of equipment and food to and from event sites and vendors. You will serve as a key point of contact for on-site staff to ensure they have every resource necessary for flawless execution.
Rental Stewardship: Oversee the lifecycle of rental equipment, ensuring all orders are returned complete and properly documented with vendor confirmations.
Inventory Stewardship & Maintenance
Asset Management: Work in partnership with the Warehouse Manager to maintain PAR levels, conduct inventory audits, and ensure all catering equipment is organized, labeled, and ready for immediate deployment.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform general maintenance and regular inspections of warehouse tools and catering hardware to ensure safety and operational integrity.
Uniform Logistics: Coordinate the professional cleaning and transport of DDC staff uniforms, ensuring our team always presents a polished, brand-standard appearance.
Facility & Fleet Management
Fleet Operations: Maintain the DDC fleet of box trucks and vans, ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and staged for event departures.
Safe Environment: Uphold a rigorous standard of cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, adhering to all company safety regulations and local health standards.
Cross-Departmental Communication: Maintain proactive communication with the Logistics, Sales, and Culinary teams to coordinate logistical needs and resolve equipment requirements in real-time.

Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse (5S and housekeeping practices)
Assist with order adjustments or cancellations before they ship, in coordination with the Customer Experience team
Perform cycle counts and help track inventory accuracy
Support with special projects and seasonal order volume increases
Operate material handling equipment (MHE) safely, when certified
Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Ability to apply simple logic to verify unit counts, order accuracy, and fulfillment rates

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Part-Time Weekend Warehouse eCommerce Fulfillment Team Member, you'll play a major role in creating happy customers by picking, packing, and shipping orders to businesses and our retail division.

HERE'S THE GOOD STUFF
Part-Time schedule: Saturday and Sunday 6:00am - 4:30pm
Base pay is $16 an hour
Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Read customer orders
Count products accurately
Match items to orders by checking package info
Sort materials or products by size, type, style, or color
Add price tags to retail orders
Use a computer to enter records
Merge orders to retail stores to save on shipping costs
