BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Help lead summertime camps at the Robinson Nature Center (RNC). Participants engage in nature study, environmental study and/or other outdoor pursuits. Major Duties/Specific Tasks
* Prepares and presents programs, crafts, games, and other outdoor educational activities.
* Interprets and works with facility features that may include: animals, gardens, water features, trails, etc.

Monitor and maintain extended-day materials and equipment throughout the summer, supporting storage, lock-up, and end-of-day organization
Oversee camper check-out procedures and ensure safe, accurate dismissal
Communicate clearly and professionally with families during extended-day interactions, helping them feel confident in their camper's experience
Communicate regularly with Headquarters regarding extended-day updates and provide an end-of-day all-clear when programming concludes
Follow all camp safety protocols and actively support camper wellbeing
Represent the D.C. United and Headfirst with professionalism, energy, and care while on site and in uniform
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support a smooth, high-quality camp experience
About You
At least 20 years old with two years of undergraduate coursework or equivalent professional experience.
Experience working with children in a camp, school, or youth sport program.
Comfortable supporting and guiding other staff members.
Organized, dependable, and confident managing schedules and transitions.
Calm, clear communicator with families and teammates.
Possess or able to obtain valid CPR/First Aid Certification prior to the start of camp.
Enthusiastic about delivering top-quality programming and brand presentation, making a positive impact on the lives of children, families, and coaches.
Ability to remain standing for extended periods, walk or run quickly across large outdoor fields, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sports equipment.
