Job Responsibilities: Staff members will be responsible for facilitating activities, making connections, and monitoring safety and wellness. Some staff members will create and/or oversee activity spaces in which campers will self-select activities, while other staff will work in rotating support roles throughout camp. The best way to find out what your specific responsibilities would be is to speak with your local director, but activities include sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, lounging, recreation, and so much more! Additional Responsibilities: Actively supervising campers Maintaining an organized and approachable activity space Ensure compliance with Camp Policies Reporting & Recording details of notable concerns or incidents, and of injuries to campers, other staff members, or self Keeping track and being aware of camper allergies and dietary restrictions adding daily updates and photos to campers' profiles How do you know if you're the right candidate? Some staff members will create and/or oversee activity spaces in which campers will self-select activities, while other staff will work in rotating support roles throughout camp. The best way to find out what your specific responsibilities would be is to speak with your local director, but activities include sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, lounging, recreation, and so much more! Additional Responsibilities: Actively supervising campers Maintaining an organized and approachable activity space Ensure compliance with Camp Policies Reporting & Recording details of notable concerns or incidents, and of injuries to campers, other staff members, or self Keeping track and being aware of camper allergies and dietary restrictions adding daily updates and photos to campers' profiles How do you know if you're the right candidate? Opportunity for increase within 6 months Responsibilities Must have passed PlayerLync training videos and CPR and First Aid within 90 days of employment. Attendance - Demonstrates responsibility and reliability in attendance for their Camp shifts. Clock in no earlier than 5 minutes prior to shift and no later than 5 minutes after shift ends unless specific approval is provided by Assistant Manager of Camp Director. Ensure a safe and clean environment (at all times) for dogs, as well as employees. Monitor information for proper feedings, medicine requirements and checkout dates. Notify Management of any missing or unclear information so it can be fixed immediately. The Indoor and Outdoor Play Areas - Perform hourly checks on potential safety issues to the Campers or Camp Counselors in the play yard. Communicate any issues with Management. Follow proper procedures for interviewing potential Campers and ensure only “socially acceptable” dogs pass the interview. Balance play yards continually throughout the day. Laundry and Food Prep Area - ensure maintenance of a clean, safe and healthy environment. Break Room and Rest Room Area - ensure Break room and rest rooms are cleaned on a consistent basis and all supplies are stocked up in the appropriate areas. Follow through with all emergency procedures per the operations manual should an emergency arise. No cell phones in the play yards. No picking dogs up except to assist then into bathtub. Be on camera at all times. Perform and practice gate management at least once per hour on shift. Perform and practice “Operation Happy Dog” at least once per hour on shift. Learn the Campers' names and ensure proper care and attention to each Camper. Identify Problem Dogs and communicate to Management immediately. Identify any injuries and report to Management immediately. Ensure all equipment is used and maintained properly (hoses, mop buckets, fans, electrical cord reels, chemicals, shampoo, etc.). Ensure all dogs have a quick release collar with a name tag on it at all times. Notify Management if a correct collar or tag is needed. Turn on indoor and outdoor hoses in the yard. Ensure nothing is against the fence that would allow a dog to use it to jump the fence. Keep the yards clean by picking up and cleaning waste immediately. Remain in yard at all times unless relieved by another employee. Keep excess water off the floor. Pools: No more than 6 inches full & empty when necessary. Keeping multiple water bowls in the yards available and full. Dump water out and put fresh water in a minimum of once per hour. Assist with baths, when needed. Proper feeding of dogs. Clean play equipment by moving & flipping it. Set up boarding cabins - Ensure a fleece and cot or dog's own bed/blanket is in each cabin. Fresh bowl of water in each cabin. Deep clean the Back of House when necessary. Qualifications A love for dogs, is a must Accepts direction readily and always willing to learn Strong face-to-face customer service orientation with a high sense of urgency Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
