Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $46,300 - $69,500. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.

You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Valves and Actuators
* This job is demanding in terms of knowledge, skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. It requires the handling of multiple tasks with many unexpected interruptions. The job calls for the responsiveness and energy to work long hours and cover a wide scope without letting up on the pace. While training in certain, specific equipment is offered, the successful candidate must be diligent in learning on their own from time to time.
* Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
* Perform disassembly and assembly of new control valves including:
* Read, interpret, and respond accordingly to sales order and customer data sheet information
* Identify various valves and accessories
* Perform visual inspections during disassembly and reassembly to ensure all components of the assembly are correct and in good condition to perform as designed
* Take digital pictures and electronically transfer into the ERP system network folder to accurately track all assemblies.
* Safely disassemble valves and parts including various types of valves such as:
* Sliding stem valves
* Rotary ball valves
* Rotary butterfly valves
* High performance rotary butterfly valves
* Various bolted bonnet gate, globe, and check valves
* Soft-seated ball valves
* Various pressure globe, and rotary valves
* Mark parts correctly and maintain organization and segregation
* Perform chemical solvent cleaning when needed
* Use of air operated tools
* Safely disassemble actuators and parts including various types of actuators such as:
* Double acting pneumatic sliding stem piston actuators
* Double acting pneumatic rotary piston actuators
* Single acting sliding stem spring and diaphragm actuators
* Single acting rotary spring and diaphragm actuators
* Double acting rack and pinion actuators
* Evaluate parts and maintain material awareness including:
* Perform inspection of parts being used in assembly and ensure critical dimension requirements are being met where required
* Identify and utilize manufacturers' nomenclature (i.e., literature including IOM, inspection criteria, part numbers, and model numbers)
* Identify materials using approved PMI method, alloy analyzer, material markings, material standards, etc. including report completion
* Complete all quality control sheets including date, sign-off, status, etc.
* Understand all special requirements needed for the assembly while maintaining compliance with all factory and or customer requirements.
* Safely and accurately perform some machining processes:
* Use drill press or pneumatic tools for drilling and pinning stems for valve plugs
* Use hand grinder for polishing some flange and sealing surfaces
* Assembly
* Safely assemble control valves from repair order instructions, customer test-report/specification sheets, and OEM IOM manuals; this includes performing all calibration of any and all positioners and or controllers.
* Valve types include:
* Sliding stem plug valves
* Rotary ball valves
* Rotary butterfly valves
* Soft-seated ball valves
* Install stem packing
* Safely and accurately attaches actuators to valves
* Sets correct valve travel
* Sets correct bench set on actuator
* Can accurately and efficiently tube up positioners and controllers to the actuator along with any other accessories on the assembly
Positioners and Controllers
* Testing and Calibration
* Safely test control valves according to applicable Code test requirements while applying and utilizing manufacturer's manuals using compressed air, water, and nitrogen. Accurate and thorough completion of test reports with all required detail is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on heavy equipment and specialized attachments
Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines
Perform general maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and specialized attachments
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of a shop forklift.
Load/unload trucks picking up or delivering supplies.
General assembly work that may require operating automated machinery and various power/hand tools.
Inspect all parts and equipment in order to properly report defective material or questionable component conditions to management.
Responsible for ensuring the cosmetic appearance meets company requirements upon completion of repair(s) to heavy equipment and specialized attachments
Ensure all parts and materials not used or returned to parts inventory as per company guidelines
Maintain complete and detailed working records for time, parts, supplies and outside purchase for repairs.
Perform diagnostic inspections and annual certifications as directed.
Assist Shop Foreman with special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated
May be required to weld, cut, paint, and/or grind various raw building materials.
Observe and follow all company safety rules and policies
Education, Skills and Requirements:
5+ years of experience required. A minimum of 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining aerial work platform, earthmoving and mobile crane construction equipment; vocational training may be considered in lieu of experience
Possess a clean driving record.
Valid Driver's License
Able to read schematics (both hydraulic and electrical)
Perform annual certifications and inspections
Capable of accomplishing task independently without direct supervision
Computer literate with the ability to process information
Strong work ethics with a commitment to quality

How You'll Make an Impact:
Disassemble, assemble and test pressure relief and safety relief valves according to ASME, NBIC and API codes, as well as manufacturers' specifications
Analyze valve issues and determine corrective actions to restore functionality and ensure optimal performance
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and job orders for assembly, repair, and reassembly
Work within very close tolerances to ensure product quality
Read blueprint drawings, job orders, tooling instructions, or standard charts to determine specification procedures
Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations
Apply bolt torquing techniques and other specialized skills to valve servicing
