We are seeking an Data Center Facility Manager to serve as a technical resource and leader within Amazon data centers. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. The Data Center Facility Manager is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center. The Data Center Facility Manager will assist in maintaining a high reliability and performance while keeping operating costs in facilities at a minimum. This equipment supports mission-critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.
This role acts as Amazon's front line when it comes to hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. They will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facility equipment including electrical support equipment such as stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, 3 phase electrical systems that include but not limited to switchgear, UPS units, PDUs, and wet cell batteries and associated systems. Mechanical equipment includes CRAC units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers/water chemical system, air handlers and associated systems, pumps, and motors. Additional support equipment is included in the scope of the role which includes fire suppression systems, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment.
Key job responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure. Ensure that all work performed within the space is done to high quality and without impact to internal/external customers
- Manage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians in all facets of their career
- Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion
- Coordinates daily with a multitude of third party vendors ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs
- Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures
- Routinely operate as the afterhours on-call Data Center Facility Manager for the data centers in the region. This will include responding to any issues within the data centers and managing the investigation, mitigation, and recovery of the issue(s)

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field

Key Responsibilities:
Delivers the technical solutions support as a trusted advisor to external and internal teams. You will help clients integrate with Onbe by clearly documenting what was bought/sold and will provide integration guidance to partners:
Create integration and funding diagrams, API logic flows/sequencing, and program build blueprints that align with the technical and business requirements of the project and clearly articulate the construct to downstream teams like Pricing, Legal, Implementation, Operations and Account Management.
Support internal and external technical discussions, answer ad-hoc questions during the opportunity lifecycle and provide guidance during client sales-related calls as needed to support both new and retention of existing business.
Maintain build documentation for configuration design and API sequencing and constructs; and Technical Solution Support standard operating procedures.
Support RFP/RFI responses via partnership with the Sales Enablement team, including working with internal technology and compliance teams to address configuration and solution build questions not already in our RFP database.
When necessary, provide integration guidance or troubleshooting to prospects and clients technical teams during the sales process, implementations, or client life cycle
Collaborate with product, technical and growth teams on product updates, ensuring all relevant teams are informed and prepared; when necessary serve as stand in for the Sr. Manager in representing the department in product launches, enhancements and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in technical implementation or solutions engineering roles.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to communicate complex things in a simple manner and to navigate uncertainty with confidence.

Under the direction of the VP, IT, the Director of Infrastructure & Cybersecurity will lead, modernize, and maintain core infrastructure, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity posture. This includes Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, data center operations, identity management, network infrastructure, and end-user computing. This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for ensuring system reliability, enforcing strong security controls, driving cloud adoption, and supporting a lean technical team.
BASIC FUNCTION
- Lead strategic planning and modernization of infrastructure and cybersecurity environments.
- Manage and develop a small technical team covering helpdesk, desktop support, systems, networking, and security.
- Oversee third-party IT partners while maintaining strong hands-on technical capability.
- Provide technical leadership on cloud and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technology Performance & Infrastructure Leadership
- Oversee and manage Azure environment with strong hands-on capabilities.
- Deploy, configure, and administer Azure components including:
- Virtual Machines
- Networking (VNets, routing, VPNs, NSGs)
- Storage and backup services
- Monitoring, alerts, policies, and cost controls
- Maintain reliable and secure operation of servers, networks, endpoints, and cloud platforms.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and failover plans.
- Document infrastructure standards, configurations, and procedures.
Cybersecurity, Data Security & Privacy
- Lead day-to-day cybersecurity operations: identity protection, endpoint security, vulnerability management, patching, and incident response.
- Oversee PCI DSS and privacy compliance programs.
- Maintain and update security policies, controls, training programs, and documentation.
- Partner with SOC/MSSP vendors to monitor and remediate threats.
Identity & Access Management
- Manage Active Directory / Entra ID, MFA/Conditional Access, password policies, and role-based access models.
- Support secure user provisioning and deprovisioning.
Operational Leadership
- Lead daily operations of the helpdesk and infrastructure team.
- Improve operational discipline across ticketing, change management, monitoring, and asset management.
- Manage vendors and contracts to ensure performance and value.
Strategic Support
- Support the VP of IT/CIO in executing the infrastructure and cybersecurity roadmap.
- Recommend initiatives that improve uptime, reduce cost, and enhance security.
- Align infrastructure strategy with business needs and measurable ROI.
- Participate in IT budgeting and cost optimization.
Qualifying Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of IT experience with strong background in infrastructure and cybersecurity.
- Leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Deep, hands-on Azure experience including Virtual Machines, networking, storage, backup, policies, and monitoring.
- Strong Microsoft 365 admin experience.
- Solid understanding of networking, identity management, and endpoint security.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Conduct maintenance support on the 80th Command LAN/WAN hardware and software in support of the classroom operations.
Provides assistance with managing and developing projects, PowerShell automation, BI-Reports, Microsoft TEAMs management, DEPO administration, and technical guidance for other staff members.
Performs additional duties placed upon them as needed by the Sr. IT Project Manager for all general project management requirements, assignments, and reporting.
Remain proficient in other cyber and security related areas as the mission and emerging technologies are developed and/or implemented within the Enterprise.
Performs incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team.
ABOUT YOU
Minimum six (6) years documented, relative work experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in a technical training or education environment.
Information Assurance (IA) Certification required.
Possess and maintain current (IAT) Level II professional certification.
The Security+ certification required.
Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
Demonstrated proficiency with administrative features Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365 products, Skype for Business, and Forms, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, web collaboration tools such as SharePoint.
Experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred.
