About the position As an IT Technician of the Sparta, TN team, you will be involved in managing the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of issues, and maintaining accurate records of IT assets. This role involves daily review of help desk tickets, reporting critical issues, and maintaining documentation for standard operating procedures and software requirements. The IT Technician will handle asset management, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks to support the smooth operation of IT services. Your main responsibilities Oversee the IT ticketing system, ensuring all issues and requests are logged and resolved promptly. Report any tickets older than two days to the IT Supervisor daily. Ensure all required fields are completed and solutions documented before closing tickets. Attach relevant screenshots to tickets. Report any critical issues that could impact production to IT Supervisor. Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware, including location, asset number, MAC address, and assigned user. Tag new and existing equipment with asset numbers. Record and address any issues with tagged equipment, such as printers, scanners, laptops, etc. Build and maintain base PC configurations and related SOP documents. Ensure procedures are applied to tagged equipment and reviewed by the IT Supervisor. Create and maintain SOPs for IT operations, reviewed biannually by the IT Supervisor. Develop a Knowledge Base for issue resolution, referencing SOPs for detailed information. Record software requirements for each department, including version and update status.
