Primary Purpose of Position The Senior Maintenance Scheduler (Daily/Outage) is responsible for the development and control of the discipline schedules including balancing the workload with the available resources with the emphasis on schedule consistency and workability, which supports meeting the On-line and Outage indicators. Successfully maintaining accurate schedules throughout development and execution and updating and publishing the discipline schedule as required. Assist assigned department with traveler requests and tracking. This position must also ensure patient demographic and insurance information is correct, resulting in accurate claims for reimbursement. Core Job Responsibilities For designated services, this position is responsible for ensuring that each patient account has accurate insurance information entered in the correct billing order and that each insurance listed has been verified as eligible for the designated date of service range. What You'll Be Doing Schedule patients accurately and efficiently for any and all surgical procedures requested by physicians. This includes scheduling of pre and post operative appointments, testing, and imaging as well as attaining medical clearances etc. Responsible for providing patients with all necessary information regarding their procedure. This includes but is not limited to special diet or prep instructions, general insurance information, arrival times, dates, locations, etc. Communicates effectively and in a friendly manner with patients, other staff and physicians as well as outside sources. Organizes work for efficiency and problem solving as related to surgery scheduling and its impact on physicians and clinical office.
