IMAGINATION STATION Visitor Service / Cashier Approximately 20-25 Hours/Week Description: This position reports to the Visitor Services Lead and is responsible for greeting visitors and for providing quality service through creative retail sales in an amusing and enjoyable environment. Function: Greet all visitors with a welcoming demeanor; sale memberships to visitors; assist visitors with their selections of merchandise from our "Science2Go" retail store. Responsibilities:
Maintain merchandise levels by assuring all areas are stocked and presentable
Balance cash drawer after each shift

Communicate with visitors by suggesting merchandise consistent with educational level and exhibition programs

Performing the Host role; ultimately responsible for greeting the customer immediately when they enter Hooters. Preforming the To-Go role; taking orders via phone, delivery service apps/tablets, online orders, and walk-in guests. This role time, and order accuracy. Additional duties of this position will include suggestive selling, ensuring order accuracy, orders packaged accurately, and receiving payment. The To-Go position must be aware of new menu items and specials and be able to answer all questions about the menu.
Performing the Staff role; maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of various areas of the restaurant to include the parking lot, Front of House, and restrooms. This role plays a significant part of the guests' perception of the atmosphere. Attention to detail of restaurant needs in all aspects of staff support responsibilities. Keeps all wait stations full stocked and maintained. If applicable, Staff may assist in stocking and cleanliness of the Hooters bar area and performing Food Runner task. The ability to prioritize multiple tasks to ensure operations run efficiently is important. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Answers homeless emergency crisis line to conduct assessments, explore housing options and directly coordinate referrals to appropriate resources. Under the direction of the Program Operations Coordinator, admits homeless persons to appropriate shelter when space is available. Must be able to work alone and perform all job functions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Completes client intakes; assists in meeting resident needs; provides crisis intervention as appropriate.
2. Works cooperatively with the all shelter staff to ensure effective services delivery.
3. Assures policies and procedures are followed.
4. Arrives 15 minutes prior to start of shift to facilitate communication during shift change.
5. Assists with clerical responsibilities such as thank you letters and client file documentation.
6. Ensures timely adherence to designated shifts or when unavailable, makes arrangements for shift coverage.
7. Completes proper documentation and reporting procedures as needed to compile statistics, resident information, and special projects.
8. Receives and stocks donations and shelter supplies; may transport donations to/from off-site locations.
9. Attends monthly staff meetings, all-agency meetings, and other pertinent meetings within the community.
10. Identifies and reports problems or unmet needs to Program Manager or Program Operations Coordinator.
